This whole CD is awesome she does go deep! I would like to share here with those who read this sing ministering to me. The very first morning it was added to KZbin I had worship music on my laptop here on KZbin I had been sick for a very long time and was speaking to Father about it all and I look over at my computer and noticed Little Bird so I was excited to see Misty Edwards had new music out! I played the song and as I did.. mind you I was hurting due to my illness wondering about God's plan for me and low and behold right outside my window is a beautiful tree I see fluttering and IT WAS A SPARROW!! I heard the Lord speak to me He spoke words of life He said He was breathing life back into me!!! Much more happened after that but for those who don't think this sing is of God's Spirit have mistaken.

It spoke to me. Every person has gifts and callings on the inside of them. Lately I've noticed those gifts and callings not being trained and released in the body of Christ because of the 'one man show'. For instance, the ones who have a prophetic gifting inside of them as Misty Edwards does, if they stay in a church that doesn't allow the prophetic to flow, that person will die in that church if they don't get around others who will stir that prophetic gifting inside of them. Hence, the 'you will die'. Now, that's just my opinion of how it spoke to me. :)) It gives people the courage to get out of the nest and fly and get into the flow of your gifting, whether you are in a church that allows the Holy Spirit to flow or not. So, Misty Edwards, Awesome job! :)

Totally love this song! I am playing it over and over. I like traditional hymns on Sunday at church, unless there's a guest. I'm old school that way. I don't attend churches that bring in whole bands and play "Christian Rock," with beats that a few generations ago, would have been smashed because they were evil. Not that I think they are evil at all, just some are not for Sunday. That being said, I LOVE this song! I love that it's not repetitious, it's mystical, it has kind of a reggae type beat. I love the message. I love Misty's story and I LOVE her hair!! She is beautiful inside and out and is an inspiration to all who get to know her.

This is actually really deep, short, and abrupt in it's shortness as is life.This song perfectly catches this vapor we call life while calling us to an understanding that if our lives are to be a love letter to God with the way we are living then are our actions bringing us to the God of the bible or the false Gods of this world? Who are we writing to? His eye is on the sparrow, his eye is on you. This song calls us to contemplate the shortness of life and where we will spend all of eternity. In the end we will stand before God and God alone will be the judge of the letter we wrote.

jon mon you just caught yourself in your own trap with those bible verses there....the natural man CANNOT receive/understand the spiritual things of God for they're SPIRITUALLY discerned. The fact that others as well as myself ARE being spiritually ministered to by this song is proof of the anointing on it. Just because YOU don't/can't feel the anointing on it doesn't mean that others (who are spiritually discerning) can't. I personally feel that God is doing a new thing with this. Many christian artists are being taken into a new season of creativity by the Holy Spirit, and the religious spirit doesn't like it. The religious spirit is VERY good at sounding spiritual, but it is religion masquerading as Godly, and a substitute for Holy Spirit. Shalom.

jon mon I don't understand your argument at all. There's so much more to a song's anointing than its sound. If anything, the sound/musical style of the song the least important factor - you have to also understand the heart behind the song, the spirit in which it was created, and the message or prayer it holds. The whole "old stuff blows this away" argument kills me as well, because the argument (on either side) is a battle of preference. For example, I personally have never had God speak to me in a "traditional" worship setting (limited to pews, hymnals, and old hymns/gospel songs). I still worship in these settings, but I have a harder time connecting with God. On the flip side, I have no right to bash traditional worship, because God has undoubtedly used this style of worship to impact millions - many of whom may have never been affected by "contemporary" worship. Here's my point: just because a certain song doesn't have an affect on YOU shouldn't be a reason to disregard its anointing - it could have a life-changing effect on someone else. God created all of us differently. Certain things that might affect me might not affect others, and vice versa. I think that this plays hugely into our spiritual individuality, and what makes us individually unique in our Father's eyes. And this isn't just limited to worship - it plays into how we connect with the Father overall. When it comes to this particular song, is it congregational? Not exactly. However, can the song's lyrics minister to someone? They absolutely can. Can God use the lyrics to speak to someone? He absolutely can.
