Just signed on to your channel. I have about 6 I watch regularly. I am 71 and still like to cut wood but can't do near as much as I used to. It is good to see a high school kid doing something like this. It not only teaches them responsibility but teaches them that the more they work. the more they make. Hard work never goes out of style.. I look forward to your videos. I live in southern Ohio, in the Hocking Hills area. I used to come to Ft. DeCharte in your area for a living history event. Did it many years. The weather has been crazy here the last week, we had 10 days of 40-50 degrees and then got 5 " of snow in one night, 3 days of low 20's and supposed to be 50 again in a day or 2.

Love the smell of burning black walnut. Sounds like you have similar woods as we do (Northern Missouri). Hackberry, black walnut, mulberry/hedge, etc. Great that you and your son are working on this together. Some of the fondest memories I have with my father, other than hunting, was cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood. Good content, thanks for posting!

Great advice the looking after the land and the land owner. I cut on private property here in SE Australia and am lucky enough to have the key to the gate so can come and go as I like.
