Tbh, I figured it’s because their brains are thinking of the child first. Like the child is already scared and the ppl helping are trying to be a safe space for the child. Also, you never know what kind of skills the kidnapper has and going straight for the fight if you don’t have to (esp if you can’t actually fight yourself) could put the child in more danger. But yeah I think it’s more about getting the kidnapper away from the child first & foremost. I agree with immediately calling the police though.

I'm proud of the little guy for refusing to go with the woman he obviously doesn't know. However, just to be on the safe side, I would stay right there with him until his Mom gets there, or until I can contact the police and have them take care of him. I would not let that little boy out of my sight again, until I'm convinced he's safe, either with one of his parents, or with the police! So scary!! But kudos to the little boy for doing the right thing!!!
