I'm 65 now and this brings back so many great memories. I look at the younger generation and keep wondering what the hell happened to them? I just figured it out. They didn't grow up listening to this. We had so many talented artists back then. They didn't have Auto-Tune. They sang. They got on stage and did it live. We had bands like Little Feat, Rory Gallagher and others who were better live than in the studio. They just knew how to put on a show. I remember an opening act (I won't name them out of respect) not showing up and we had about 65,000 fans waiting. Billy Gibbons walked out on stage and said one of their members was sick and they would not be there, but not to worry, because ZZTop would make up for it. They played for 2 hours. Billy said, hey y'all, nature calls. Give us a few minutes and we will be right back, so don't go anywhere. A few minutes later ZZTop was back on the stage and played another 2 hours. At the end, Billy asked if everyone felt they got their money's worth? Standing ovation! "Then we did our job! Thank you all and good night." What a show! Who would do that nowadays?

Here here! Rock n Roll on and on... I'm 62 and was blessed to grow up in Hawaii 🤗😉I starred going to concerts in Diamond Head Crater at 11 yrs old. Saw Billy Preston who stayed on to jam with Chicago, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Allman Brothers and on and on. I saw Little Feat at the University of Hawaii. They were out of tickets so we sat on their U-Haul and had front row seats! I could go on but yes I know we're so very blessed and so grateful to have the best of the best growing up. Thank you loving powers that be for my awesome gift of the universal language of music! Eternally grateful 🙏 So many kindred spirits from our generation. Got a funny story, I dated a beautiful man who was a carpenter and he worked for his brother in law who was a contractor. We lived in Palm Desert and they went out of town for work (L.A.). His Bro in Laws parents lived in San Fernando Valley, their house needed repairs so they were there on a Halloween weekend. They had long hair of course and BiL put on a cape and hid in the bushes, when he heard some trick or treaters he jumped out and then one of them says "run for it! It's a Hippie! When I heard about this I fell out. Poor guy, didn't know what a Hippie is. Many blessings! ✌️

Back in the 1970s I was friends with the guys in Tower of Power. I remember Mimi Castillo and Doc Kupka telling me some hair raising stories about life on the road with Liittle Feat. This effort culminated in the live album Waiting for Columbus. When I first heard the album in 1978 I believe, I thought the overall sound quality to be very strong and it truly was. Little Feat were one of my favorite bands. However there was a good ammount of studio overdubs on the album. I guess they were all having a real GOOD tme on the road. In Europe no less!

And of course you have rock solid proof of these alleged "studio overdubs" you speak of? I've been going to Feat concerts since the beginning of time ... like when Noah was still an apprentice carpenter's mate ... suffice it to say, the beginning ... regardless ... one thing the Feats never needed was recorded studio overdubs. I'll forgive you this one time on this gross indiscretion ... however, from this day forward should you haplessly defile the greatest American band EVER ... I shall have to biblically smite thee! OBTW ... Tower of Power rocks!

They still rocked live in the 80's and early 90's, but that was about it. Imagine, Feat performing on TV or live, and having Linda Ronstadt or Emmylou Harris show up and handle backing vocals.....we didn't know how good we had it musically.......it's all turned to shit over the years.....music, that is.

I've never heard this song in my 38 wonderful years existing on this lil space rock we call Earth, until recently....And it's this sort of beautiful energy that makes me feel alive, as we feel many talented human beings collaborate to channel a divine abstraction we call "music" to invoke a feeling that calls to our spirit to "move and groove". As a less intense note; The "sound" of this bass is absolutely fat, smooth, and sexy. Like a perfect spoonful of peanut butter. lol. Take care, thanks for reading friend. Hope you're well.

Got to see Lowell with the boys back on 10/1/78, at the University of New Hampshire, and it was one of the best musical nights of my life. Saw Feat about ten times after, but that first show was special. Even funny at times. Like when they started singing "Don't Bogart That Joint", and about twenty J's went flying up on to the stage. And were quickly gathered up by the crew, and saved for later. Feat was a great, great band, and this video was a fun representation of their style and musical mastery.

Damian, Weasel, Bob, etc. I was a bit crushed when I learned that Lowell went back and overdubbed the live album and added some "polish" to his solos and voice. Here I thought they were just that damn amazing right off the cuff. They WERE, I heard em, but...

I was at the Wembley gig where they had been partying the night before, but it was still a great gig. Still not a good as the Rainbow where I saw them blow the Doobie Brothers out of the water. My favourite U.S. Rock band. Love them forever.❤
