Ain't that the truth! Was watching The Faces at The Marquee Club and saw this in my feed. Felt like I stuck gold with what's basically a video of the "Waiting For Columbus" concert, and naturally LF didn't disappoint!! Plus the fact is was a Rockpalast production which are always spot on. LF is only real with Lowell, IMO (naturally no disrespect to Paul B., Bill P., Richard H.,etc). My Thanksgiving Day treat today!

Proof that the R&RHOF is full if it is that these straight savages weren't inducted 30 years ago. Outstanding, and like the best of the best, with no weak links in their music chain. Killing it here.

R&R HOF treats the musicians like shit- according to the musicians interviewed. And yes, it is a pile of elitist bureaucrats who don't know crap about music. I will say, however, that the induction of Leon Russell by Elton John is wonderful! Check it out. But, the HOF had nothing to do with it themselves.

One of the greatist live bands, ever. Bill Payne is genius. Obviously, Lowell is one of the most underappreciated artists ever. The whole band is so so good. Saw them live in 1977 at UVA...rock and roll!! Thx for posting. If you like this, check our their live album Waiting for Columbus. It truly captures their live energy.

BUT have you noticed when ever there is "A POLL" on the Greatest 100 drummers of all time, not only does Richie Hayward not get placed ANYWHERE, he doesn't even get a mention, NOT EVEN A MENTION, I mean, come on, something is very wrong here, in fact it FU*KINC STINKS, I heard Bill Pain say "I won't name names as the guy I'm thinking of has now passed away but he couldn't play Dixie Chicken like Richie Hayward could.

Little Feat were not quite my style at the time, but all these years later, I appreciate them more than ever. So much talent on that stage. What an incredible show. When these shows originally aired, you were lucky to see them one time. Now, 50 years later, there are so many of these concerts available on KZbin. Some lunatic climbed one of the floodlight towers during their set ,closely followed by security guys, guy is hanging by his arms 100 feet in the air, Little Feat just keep going, I was close enough to see that they were watching the proceeding's too, they got the guy down. Back in the last century, I read somewhere that when asked about “Day At The Dog Races” Lowell said that it was “the very antithesis of what the band was all about”. Seems like Bill, Paul and the rest of the boys were going through their kind of “Weather Report” stage. I like DATDR as it shows what a fine bunch of musicians Little Feat were/are and always will be.

@martyconroy3786. You may already know this. Back in the last century Joe Walsh used to like the Coricidan bottle for his slide guitar playing. The shape, weight of the glass and size were just right for Joe. Apparently, Joe heard that the manufacturer was going to change the packaging of their product (maybe to plastic?) So Joe went out, bought as many bottles of Coricidan pills that he could find, dumped the contents and kept the bottles. Like Lowell says in his explanation of the bottleneck technique, you need a very specific kind of bottle for (glass) slide playing. Lowell’s choice - the Sears & Roebuck Craftsman 11/16 socket wrench (probably “extended” to remove spark plugs maybe?) you can/could buy in any city in North America. So could it easily be replaced if lost or damaged. I did read somewhere that Lowell used to “pad out” the inside of the socket with gaffer tape (sticky side out) so that it would fit his pinkie! And the late Paul Barrere - who played Lowell’s guitar parts in the post LG incarnations of the band, said that he had built up extra muscle power in his left hand pinkie “hoisting that slide every night!” Stay safe and well.

@@markmiwurdz2248 Everyone has a favorite, glass, metal, Duane Allman used a Coricidan bottle, too. It's more about what feels right for you. I use both. They have different tones...
