Thanks Tessie Love your style💕🌼🌻💖 I am a Little House nerd . I had started and still watch and read Little House books for 50 years .💕 I even have a CD with her voice. I used to dress up with the bonnet and dress.🌼 My parents wouldn't let me wear these clothes to school thinking I would be made fun of. Instead my little chubby body was squeezed like a sausage into early 70's short and TIGHT clothing😊 Little House always in my Heart 💕❤️🌹❤️

Evening Tessie. Many many many years ago my fifth grade teacher read us the little house in the prairie books. I have always loved them and read them to my children and grand children. They are wonderful books. I had no idea there are cook books also. Thanks for sharing that. Hugs from Alaska.

I read everything available about or by Laura Ingles Wilder as a home school mommy from the ‘80s to ‘2000s. All these were in my extended library. I had several sets to share with friends, grandchildren, and my own extensive library. Blessings to you! ❤

I was in my 40's when I first read the LH books to some children. They were urban apt kids so most of them loved the stories and some just could not imagine what it was about. I was surprised that the story of a family barely making it through life, was published as children's books.

I loved the series. I would read 1 and earn money doing odd jobs and go downtown to the bookstore and buy the next. I was in grade school, back then you could let your child ride the bus and go to town by themselves. Unfortunately the books got wet when the basement flooded, something unusual for that house, they were boxed for a move, I was heart broken. I was much older and always thought I would replace them and never did. Blessings

Whenever I was asked why I wanted to be a teacher and a writer, I always answered, "When I was little, I wanted to be just like Laura Ingalls Wilder.". She's always been a hero and inspiration of mine. Those look like wonderful books, Tessie. Little House Living by Melissa A. Alink is another great one that was inspired by the Little House series and is just filled with recipes and ideas for slow, frugal living.

I love watching the Little House on the prairie. But, every time we went to Missouri to go visit family, either it was the wrong time of year, busy schedule or we didn't have the extra money. But, I have been wanting to go see the house that Laura lived in, in Mansfield, Missouri. I may have to try and find some of those books. I have the Little House on the Prairie reading books.
