Cottonwood Station is my happy place. Thank you for your respectful video of the area. I work close enough to the area to drive up the highway during my lunch hour to see if I can spot burros from the road. Spring Mountain Ranch is also an awesome place to visit - especially in the fall when the leaves are changing.

Great job covering this town. I live in Henderson, NV and just heard about this yesterday. So you're right...probably alot of locals don't know about this place.

Very pretty over there. Go check it out!

I would hazard a guess that roughly 99% of locals who have lived here for more than five years know about the town of Blue Diamond. Except perhaps for the people in Hendertucky, way over on the far side of the valley. The Trek rental center shown in your video was a significant clue. Blue Diamond is a well known gathering place for the many bicyclists who ride out along the highway every weekend. Blue Diamond may have avoided the explosive growth of the city so far, but if you had followed the highway just a few more miles, and made a left at the light, you'd have seen that the rapidly expanding developed area is racing toward Blue Diamond's door. And then there is the new multimillionaires' development where Bonnie Springs Ranch used to be, just down the road, and the evil multimillionaires' enclave about to go up, up on the hillside overlooking the area.

I lived in Las Vegas for 21 years and I drove by and through Blue Diamond many times. I wanted to live there but to rich for me.

I read there was a mysterious disappearance of miners in 1943. They're zoning that residential now?

It’s mostly residential today.

It's been residential for decades.

Blue Diamond is a "town"! Does it elect a Mayor? I've always thought it to be a neighborhood. Or maybe a village or hamlet.
