I didn’t really watch Glee, but I’m familiar with all of the comments made by her cast mates about how difficult she is to work with. This video explains a lot. My daughter did professional musical theater as a child, but did not continue it into her teens because she lost her confidence. There is such a fine line between instilling confidence and creating an egotist. And honestly, if you’re going to succeed in this business, you need to be a little bit in love with yourself. Some are just better at maintaining a modest front. It seems like Lea was told at a very young age that she’s wonderful, spent a lot of time with adults, and missed some of the interaction with peers critical to forming healthy social skills. Some kids can handle it and some can’t. In a way I feel sorry for her.

Anyone saying she "Rachel Berry" and thinks that's an insult is mistaken. Rachel was a very determined person, who was confident because she had to be. She was bullied constantly. Sure, she was annoying and conceited, but she had the talent to back it up. Rachel Berry however was humbled, and grew as a character in the later seasons. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that same growth happened with Lea. I think there are defiantly factors that played into each result, and I will say, that I truly hope Lea realizes all of the people she has hurt, truly reflects, and does have that moment of growth. Anyone who uses "Rachel Berry" as an insult didn't watch the show.
