you know what the thing is with Little Mix? I might not like all of their songs [they're good, but just not always for me] but I still keep coming back for three reasons- the first that their acoustic vocals are... out of this world, their friendship is the strongest I've ever seen [literally ever], and most importantly: they own their femininity, and as someone who received deeply misogynistic messages from her bullies that discredited my own femininity... they empower me so much. I’m not going to assume you’re white or anything and say you’re racist, but please educate yourself because what Jesy is doing (over tanning, blackfishing) is harmful for actual POC. Jesy is a 100% white woman. I’m sorry if I sounded rude, but please consider holding her accountable. Not just for blackfishing but for other things: She’s worn dreads, shrugged Leigh being bullied as “she is better at dealing with it than me”, she liked Perrie’s pregnancy post on IG but not Leigh’s, she says she doesn’t want to be associated with LM but still talks about them in every interview, her Boys music video is full of black stereotypes, she didn’t stand up for Leigh when Nicki Minaj badmouthed her on a live video. You can still like her, but please hold her accountable! She’s problematic, plays the victim and that needs to be addressed! Again, I’m sorry if this sounded rude but I wasn’t sure if you knew some of this or not.

Yes I knew the things you mentioned I've been a mixer for years now but again all this happened after I commented. I don't wanna start the drama about what's going on between the girls again or judge anyone because we still don't really know what's behind the curtains so I'm not gonna go further with that. But yes I am white and no I'm not racist. I would never do that! Treating someone different just because of their skin color is madness. My point of view came from watching my country's poc. I was shocked when I found out about blackfishing. I thought why shouldn't ppl have the skin color they want? And why is using a culture which is not yours a bad thing as long as you're not "stealing" it? Here in my country we have many different races. But when you go to their place, if you wear the kind of clothes they wear or do certain things they usually do, they will be so happy and will treat you with respect. They would love you to do that because the way they see it, it's like acknowledging their race and learning about it. That's why I was confused. My mind was so busy thinking about all this it took me some time to understand these are two different things. Although tbh I still am a lil bit confused because I tried listening to poc themselves talk about this to know what's their opinion but there's still a lot of mixed opinions as what's considered blackfishing.
