Despite them having very unique individual voices and vocal strengths (Leigh has a very light sound and a lovely belt, Jade has a richer and deeper sound, Perrie has a darker tone and a healthy falsetto, and when Jesy was in the band she had the very raspy tone and a strong vibrato) they have such a lovely blend, even from the very beginning. I’m convinced that’s the biggest key to their success, how good they sound together.
