The fact you do this together, you're able to provide a variety of perspectives for everyone to think about. Which for me, is amazing and I absolutely appreciate, respect and thank you for. Being a mother of two interracial children (married 24 years, Lord that doesn't make me sound old lol), this song provides sincerity, understanding and kindness our world (well, at least America) is in desperate need of right now. You add your reaction to the words of the song and then to the actual video itself from this young, amazingly-talented group, the overall message is strong and powerful to all of our young girls and boys. No matter the race, religion, country, who you love or what you want to be, you are beautiful no matter what. Your uniqueness (is that a word? Lol) should be celebrated, not looked at as a weakness. I'd tell my younger self to stan Little Mix when they first came out 😂. Jokes aside, their songs would have had a positive impact on me, I mean they still do now but when you're younger (especially in school) it feels actually helpful. They have many meaningful songs if you like that: Wings, Change Your Life, Little Me, We are who we are, Stand down, I won't, Clued Up, Good Enough, See Me Now (different empowering songs); Secret Love Song Pt. 2 (about LGBTQ); Salute, Power (women empowering), Shout Out To My Ex (happy heartbreak song); Always be together, The beginning (about their friendship), Case Closed (about domestic violence); FU (about toxic relationships); These Four Walls (about some1 passing away). That's all I can think of right now.

Scars of the past sometimes never heal right because we dont get to see the pride and honor of them and if you get to the level where you can see each others and accept them gracefully.... This song gets me in the feels every time. I love that they talk about real issues in their songs. This song is something I would have told my middle-grade self until I memorized it. That time was horrible because I was super self-conscious and had no sense of self- respect. This song is something that I would have loved to hear. Even though that time sucked it taught me my self-worth and self-respect. This is why I love them so much. They are always here to inspire their fans and remind them they are enough. When I first heard this song I cried too, it really spoke to me. I'm not confident and I'm extremely shy and anxious about everything. Never fails!! Everytime I watch this I cry!! I had a hard past and now have two girls that are in the phase of life and I tell them this all the time! Don't waste time on pettiness! As a little girl and even into high school, I was afraid of what I felt as everything. People in general were scary and if my two closest friends, little sister, a family friend or my niece was not around then I would play by myself. I never tried to make friends. If I made a friend it was because they stuck to me and made the first move. I greatly disliked school because there is so many people and I felt stupid. Math was the worst subject for me. Did not understand 99% of it; I only understand some of simple subtraction, division, addition and my times tables up to twelve. Could not for the life of me figure out how to do fractions until the seventh grade. Could not add up change till late in elementary. I felt dumb and like I was the only one who felt clueless in the class. Had to take lab classes because I got too anxious and distracted with a large classroom. I got to the point in elementary school where I started giving up and would turn in assignments half completed or not at all. My family and teachers tried to help me but in my brain math was too complicated. It got better once I passed seventh grade but I still stuck to certain people. I am not a big fan of trying new things and I have the bad habit of giving up on something too easily. If I could go back in time to my eleven year old self, I would tell her that she is so much smarter than she thinks she is and worthy of people's attention. I would tell her to not take for granted the people that were looking out for her and trying to be her friend. I would tell her that she is not a wimp and she should give new things a chance. Finally, I would tell her to not be so hidden and tell people when I am hurting or can't figure something out. Let people see me cry instead of brushing my tears away and say simply that I am fine.

If I could tell my younger self something it would be something like, you are strong enough, let those haters hate and be yourself. There are always people who love you just the way you are, you don't have to hide or change. The right people for you will come to you if you are yourself. This song does bring memories to me, some of them aren't that great but I stood up for myself and all of those things made me who I am today and I am proud of who I am.
