This song is not just a diss song to Simon it’s a song to diss music industry. That says the only way is to make conform to music executives and do the music they want. The music executives told little mix that they were not going to last in this industry unless they did what told to do. A lot artists have complained about this thing for years. Little mix gave Simon 3 albums of what he wanted but by the 4th and 5th albums little mix wanted to take more control of music and songwriting credits. The new label trusts the girls instincts when comes to picking songs because they have been in the music industry for a long time. A lot of industry executives probably have written off not expect them to survive but wanted them drown. Especially in America the music industry here can pretty cold and heartless to artists. I heard about it for years. 5th harmony and 1D talked about it interviews. The only way to make the music they wanted was dissolved the group. Being blackballed from entertainment industry is real thing especially in America. I notice over little mix wasn’t getting invited to major awards over here. They were shut out almost everything but kiddie awards( Nickelodeon kids and Teen Choice Awards show. )But MTV and People Choice Awards,Billboard,Iheart and Grammy awards invited them to come. Now all of sudden MTV want to nominated them after 9 years and they can’t go because of COVID-19. The girls were treated unfairly because they refused to kiss the asses and flirts and sleep with music executives to get songs played on the radio. When everyone knows record companies paid to have songs played. A lot of new groups coming out are puppets because they can’t speak the language neither can they write the songs they sing. And the music executives are kissing the ass of these groups managers because they can bring in views and the money and the fans. Little mix are really bold and fearless for writing a song like this. But they are the only ones can and make a hit song out it. This is nothing new for them they have been doing this for years. This is what Little Mix unique. They have always move to the beat of their own drum that why they have lasted so long where other have no (Pussy Cats Dolls,Danity Kane etc. )So Salute to Little mix for doing what other people were not dared to do. True Queens without the drama of killing their dreams.👑

He is well know for manipulate young talents because when you're nobody in the industry, you accept any offert. The girls told many times that Simon or his label, Syco, did not work promoting their songs and any way get money from their success. His partner label in USA, Columbia Records, invited Little Mix to an important radio event just to tell the girls to flirt with important men if they wanted their songs on the radio. Since the time Little Mix spoke about this the USA promo was 0. The songs are not sending to the radios, physical copies are not on stores, no tv shows, no awards, etc. In 2014 the girls had a Sold Out Tour on USA with their album "Salute" but it was cancelled so they could "Take more time to write their next album" but actually we don't belive that a lot now.

Brandon Cole a single is promoted properly and is usually made to help the artist gain more fame,get more sales and get higher up on the charts whereas usually a promotional single is just released to promote the album and isn’t usually promoted a lot(like no award shows) and they also tend to not have music videos and don’t chart as high as proper singles.For another example imagine by Ariana Grande is a promotional single whereas 7 rings is a single,hope that helped.
