It's more accurate to assume that the Abrahamic faiths have such similarities to each other that the events in both the Quran and the bible are likely from similar perspectives. Both books have 51 identical stories.

We most certaintly do not believe in the same God. Not only are there significant differences in the stories between the Bible and the Qu'ran, the very understanding of God differs. Christians believe in a God that acts in time and space, and entered his own creation in the Person of Jesus Christ to make an atonement for repentant sinners. Islam believes in one God that is unable and incapable of entering his own creation to seek and save his lost creatures, and a God with a relatively weak attribute of justice who can forgive sinners without any penalty being paid for their sins.
