Can we just appreciate the textures and amount of detail the creators put into this? Like behind walls and curtains and places you're not supposed to see these kind of games could always take shortcuts and just put a moving geometry in front of a light and make that section "Out of bounds". But the creators put such an insane amount of detail into everything that playing from a POV perspective doesn't take away from the immersive experience. And that is one of the many things that makes this game amazing

You know it just struck me how terrifying LN2 is, yet it doesn't ONCE technically show almost ANY gore. Even when you get killed onscreen all you see is something grab you and then it quick fades to black. All the enemies either die offscreen or are fake people. There is almost never a single sign of blood or a single true human corpse on the walls or floor, not even in the HOSPITAL level where it could be easiest and most believable...almost every spooky hospital setting has made gratuitous use of blood and yet this game is so clever it knows how to make you truly scared without ever once showing it openly. It would be SO EASY to splatter all of the walls red in every level like the inside of Jason Vorhees' house. But the walls/floor are usually bare. Whenever you DO find loose guts or traces of gore, they use them as puzzle elements or part of a special room so the surprise of the visual shock is higher than it already should be.

It turns out that the basement floor height of the hospital isn't uniform 😁 27:21 2nd floor (timestamp corrected to the start of descending) 27:23 1st floor 27:25 Basement 1 (B1) floor 27:28 B2 floor 27:31 B3 floor 27:34 B4 floor 27:38 B5 floor 27:40 B6 floor (Six's floor, coincidence) But, after burning the Doctor, I count the floor as B4 41:17 B4 floor (4 is homophone of 'dead, death' in Chinese, Sino-Japanese, and Sino-Korean)※ 41:21 B3 floor 41:23 B2 floor And then Six and Mono arrived at 1st floor. ※Sino-Japanese and Sino-Korean are used to distinguish from Native Japanese and Native Korean, where the Native and Sino- vocabularies are different.
