What we need to realize is that good or evil Six is still a child, a child all alone in a world that has shown her no safety. How is she to understand kindness when she is shown none, how is she to know right from wrong when nobody sat down and taught her, how is she to know the value of goodwill when all around her wickedness is rewarded while good deeds end up being counterproductive. Just something to keep in mind before you paint horns on her head.

Guys, I have this wild theory -SPOILER ALERT- Remember at the start why she was playing this music box as like a coping mechanism to calm herself down In the finale, Mono smashed that music box to save Six from her demented and corrupted form, but in the end, Six betrayed Mono and pushed him down to the abyss of the Broadcasting tower, and when the screen fade out after Six pushed him down, she hummed the music box song to calm herself down, and it carried on until when she boards the maw, that's why the 1st part of her theme song was her humming Edit: Came back 9 months later and I got almost 2K likes and a rabbit hole of theories I am still believing this is a time loop accident

...I can't help but consider something. We know that Six becomes... well, dark. Trapped by The Hunter, before managing to break free with the help of Mono. They go on a long adventure, both experiencing incredible horror between the both of them. Six turns into a malformed semblance of a human being who returns to normal, but promptly abandons Mono and escapes for one reason or another. But a thought occurs. We never once saw the appearance of Shadow Six. One could argue the point of us playing through the P.O.V. of Mono for the duration of this game, but it's worth noting that when she appears for the first time at the end of the game, she comes into existence like static at first. Exactly like the static Six that was left behind after the Thin Man kidnapped Six. Throughout the few times that Mono sees this version of six, she's notably more happy-go-lucky. Walking along the train tracks like a game being the most prominent example. Considering that... Is it possible that when the Thin Man took Six... they left something fundamentally important behind? Tore something like an emotion, or part of her psyche from herself that twisted her just enough to make her leave Mono behind, and leave behind a hunger curse? Is that why Shadow Six only appears when she hungers? Is that side of her stuck watching as who she once was falls deeper into darkness?

when the thin man took six, he took part of her soul hence why shadow six is static. half her soul is in the world mono is and the other is with the thin man as a bargain to actually able to go through the tv like the thin man... this leads on to the reason why she ends up going onto the more. she has one hunger and one hunger only which is to fill in the rest of her emptiness which the remaining would she has lost. this is why she goes to the more and manages to harvest the lady’s powers. the lady had a secret library where she had books where she didn’t want anyone else to find out about and has managed to harvest peoples soul to stay younger. there’s a theory that the lady had managed to learn the power to use children’s youth to stay young and she tested firstly on the girl in the paintings in the lady’s bedroom... she harvested her and was abandoned to the bottom of the moor and was known as the grandma. Because the lady was in regret that she done that she know uses the passengers to eat the children then to take the passengers souls as it will contain the children’s... what you eat is fuel, the passengers will be using the children as fuel the way the lady will be using the souls of the children and passengers to stay young. her fear is to loose her beauty. She sacrificed her daughter just to maintain her youth. the reason all the mirrors on board are broke is because when she looks in them she sees a monster ... this is how six manages to beat her in the battle because she uses her own reflection. In a way it was a monster vs a monster. six defeats the lady and harvests her powers and leaves the moor sucking every passengers soul as she passes. no matter how many souls she consumes she will never fill her void or hunger because it’s not her soul. this is just a my own theory and thoughts. I’m not attacking anyone or your opinion of the game and hope you understand my perception of the game. LN is such a dark and interesting game of how what we fear consumes us and we will go to lengths to sacrifice the things we love to please others and personally think it’s a lesson of how the world works today and how much it impacts young children. if anyone has read this please share your thoughts and feelings. I am so passionate about this game and love the theories behind it :)

She eventually Developes this type of eerie and dark version from the music box. The music also calms down her inner dark self.... I feel like LN2 is just a prequel(?) of VLN or LN1. When she got sucked in the TV by thin man it looked like there was some type of.... Shadowy figure or something, which i think was her normal soul or emotions. So when she became back to normal after becoming a monster the only thing left in her was her dark soul so thats why she let go of mono. I also have another theory, when she bit the lady she got her powers but maybe also of some of the dark soul so she became dark. I agree with your theory tho.

I personally like the theory that six dropped mono because he broke her music box. We can see she has a somewhat sadistic nature and likes to get revenge so it would make sense. I mean, that’s probably the point. Little Nightmares is a series built on ambiguity and Six’s betrayal of Mono is a thematic extension of that. And it’s not like it was unexpected. Six already has a track record of making short-sighted decisions that kill/alienate anyone close to her, all in the name of her own survival. Just look at what happened to The Girl In The Yellow Raincoat (the VLN protagonist) or The Runaway Kid (and by extension, the Nomes).

People think that mono since he is able to move through televisions, he became the man and became able to move through time, and went searching for six since he felt betrayed.

That's literally my favourite song. It brings me so many memories of sadness for the game. I always wish for a good ending and i even make a good ending by myself! I HAVE A THEORY!!! Six let go of Mono because she realized he was the TV man! When she got captured she got to see what the TV man really looked like. Mono had a bag on the entire time they were together so Six couldn’t see his face, until the end when he takes it off. She finally sees his face in the light and let’s go, for his and her safety. But if Six never let go, this would never happen. Even when Mono opened the door, there would just be a chair, because he didn’t get stuck in that room. Six hummed this song when she let go to calm herself down. When she was in her demon from it calmed her down, before you first break it, she trusts you and let’s you near her. The reason why the music calms her down is because it reminds her when she first met Mono Six is still very upset when she gets on the boat, the only thing she has left in memory of Mono is her raincoat... I’m gonna go cry now 😭

or mono has monophobia, so that's why he went in order to be freinds, but six regret that until both of them realized two hands better than one(the scene when six called mono to help her) and after, but six is evil and always want to revenge, like she warm herself with the same fire she burned the doctor, and when we saw him slap the bullie on the floor after they kidnapped them, the same as mono he live her bestlife with her toy, that make her feel safe, but always mono breaks the door and bring her to the nightmare, what if she didn't even intend to help him in the last scene, she toss mono by herself, to revenge after eye contact with her. Like we know mono is the tiny man but what if six is the lady, tiny man want to save mono, this is whg he turn six into monster and separate her from mono, but mono can't stand that, if the battle mono win i think cauz six in the betray absorb some of mono power so after this is not equal mono before the betray and mono after betray, ending up tiny man accpect his faith. the same as lady she want to stop that too, she broke all thr mirrors so there noway to defeat her but six find a mirror and defeat her, and u can see in the end when six is about to eat her, she also accepts her taith, in the scene she pulls her arm

The things this child had to go through, the things she was forced to do, and what ultimately happened to her are truly some of the saddest things any fictional character has ever experienced. Six has a huge hatebase, mainly because of what she did to Mono, but she doesn't deserve it. Six is my favorite character in this series and her story is one I will never forget, one that will haunt me till the end of my days.

Theory on why Six left Mono for dead. Six's music box was her only way to feel safety and Mono broke her music box. Mono also left Six when she was getting dragged by the Thin man. Those two event really shows how 'betrayed' Six felt which lead to her, leaving Mono for dead even if his real intentions was to save her.
