I dont think Six will do that again. In Little Nightmares, she ate Lady, gaining her powers. In that moment, she will not need to eat. Since she can take away the life force of any living things, as she want. But this is unlikely that she will do it on Mono. Since in the trailer they are both partners here, helping each other out. Unless this game have a dark twist in the end though.

Attentive people will have noticed that the first part of "Little Nightmares" is largely inspired by "Spirited Away" by Hayao Miyazaki, even to the point of quoting some scenes. In fact, "the Maw" is a grotesque nightmarish version of the Yubaba baths. Obviously, the song from the trailer is another reference.

The Guests, their stomachs demanded for food, regardless of what it was, raw or cooked. They did not care if their stomachs were about to burst like the balloons that they are. All they ever cared about, was to have something to sink their teeth into. Their sin was Gluttony. The Geisha, she craved for beauty, but at a price, the suffering or lives of others. She did not care if they were innocent or guilty, nor were they adults or children. All she ever cared about, was her beauty. She wanted everyone to gaze upon her, fantasising about having a life with her. Her sin was Envy. I wonder what twisted events is yet to occur in this realm known as the horrors of a child's slumber? The beasts that await in the dark, ready to pounce and feed on our fear? The disturbance of the serenity of our rest as the moon shines? What horrors await us? Of course, there is that monster that lurks under the shoes, but that's all there is, it's just there to be a threat, not reveal any lore worthy of being part of it. The same applies for the black leeches and the watch lights from the DLC. There is ONE antagonist that represents one of the sins, but she/he/it does not really show much significance to the lore. Plus, the last two sins is wrath, which COULD be applied to someone there and Lust. Pretty sure that no one there represented that. And I am pretty sure that the game would have been taken down for that.

I know this will not be of great importance for many, but I just found that the beat drop at 0:24 is Handel's piece "Sarabande". The music from the video and Handel's piece are in the same key and have the same notes. The beats sync almost perfectly (except in the third beat of the first bar {its in 3/2 time}, in Handel's piece there's a quarter rest and a quarter note followed by two half notes. In the trailer there's a half rest and the originally quarter note is now a full half note followed by the other half notes). Even though the Bb, A and G arpeggio featured in Sarabande on the third beat of the second bar is not on the trailer, it would fit perfectly in it (no beats are added or missing). On the third beat of the third bar of the trailer (originally the start of the third bar of Sarabande), the melody of Sarabande turns into the classic Little Nightmares theme, but the bass notes of Handel's piece are still present. As a classical musician, I found this detail very interesting. I never thought Handel would fit so perfectly in the Little Nightmares series!

Theory for this game: This games deeper meaning is about the real world, school, friends and how technology is taking over our lives. Everywhere is the trailer you can see static on TV screens and during the middle, we see people staring into the screen, mesmerized by it. This could symbolize how we get so caught up in technology that we forget about our surroundings. The figure on the television at the end could be the one controlling the TV screens, which also drives the message that TV networks and Apps are taking control of us. THE SCHOOL The scene with the school is very straight forward to me when you look closer. In the wide shot of the classroom, we can see student banging their heads on desks and books, clearly tired of working. The teacher’s ruler and how she smacks it is symbolizing consequences for not doing the work. It symbolizes how schools force kids to do unproductive work. The scene of Mono (the character in the paper bag) smacking a kid in the face with the ladled, you can see the kids face shatter like pottery. This might mean (in the deeper meaning) that students feel like empty shells or empty bottles, feeling so fragile at times where they feel like glass. THE HOSPITAL The hospital is confusing, I’ll say that. I don’t have any REAL theories so I’ll keep this one short. I personally think the bed scene where Mono and Six are climbing up beds is connected to the hospital because of the way the beds look. In one short scene, Six steps on a hand that’s moving at her. They are in a room with all tons of hands and body parts. The corpse coming to life is probably the owner of the hand. Just POSSIBLY, the hand and the body are symbols of the past and Six is trying to get those memories, stomping them away but they keep coming back to haunt her. Speaking off which.. SIDE SEQUEL/PREQUEL IDEAS I think the game is a sequel from the original. The scene where Six washes up on shore indicates she tried escaping the Maw but almost drowned in the process. She washed up on shore and soon found Mono (again, the paper bag dude) who had her coat. He found it on the beach and took it, which is why Six puts her raincoat on half way threw. By the way, everywhere in the city scenes, there are cables and wires for electricity, further solidifying the point they are dependent on technology. If the game was a prequel, which I do believe it also COULD BE, I think that Mono is The Runaway Kid from the DLC’s. If it’s a prequel, then Six and Runaway go off into the sea and get stuck inside the Maw, continuing their adventure out. HAPPY ENDING/BAD ENDING Possible happy ending: Six and Mono stop the broadcasting station and all TV’s are shut off. Mono and Six go off the island in a boat and sail away. Mono reveals to be Runaway kid from the DLC’s and they both go off into the sea fog, not knowing where they’ll end up next. Bad ending: In their attempts to stop the broadcasting station, they beat the man behind it all. But as they leave, they get sucked into a TV and disappear into the static. No matter what you try, you can never escape technology. It is everywhere and there is no stoping it. Ever. SIDE NOTES -The music box in the beginning had the eye on it from the first game -The woods is abandoned because of the broken TV’s and the broken down machines meaning that the creatures in this world don’t care about nature. -The trailer park is abandoned or run down since we see it in the forest. FINAL THOUGHTS All in all, I’m gonna be buying this game. The trailer and art style is amazing and it really has a lot of potential. Edit: I have a side theory. If you look at the beach in the beginning, Six didn’t wash up on shore. SHE CAME OUT OF THE TV. She wasn’t wet or soaked, she was DRYIf fact, anytime our characters show up somewhere new, there is a TV. Perhaps this new game will have teleportation. Here’s how the game might play out(and if I get this right, come back and tell me): Six teleported through the TV on the shore. She wanders around the beach and through the city. She finds a small room in a building and decides to play with the music box. But the place isn’t empty. Mono meets Six and they become f r i e n d s! They explore the world, when Six sees an ad or a TV that people are mesmerized to. She realizes they need to turn off the network. Each time they travel somewhere new, they turn off the power in that area, until they get to the main man behind it all..
