Little People, Big World's Amy Roloff Explains Why She Can't Watch the Show (Exclusive)

Amy Roloff and Chris Marek chat with ET's Cassie DiLaura about season 24 of 'Little People, Big World' at Roloff Farms in Oregon. Amy looks back on the reality show's humble beginnings in 2006, admitting she's still finds it difficult to watch episodes as they air. Looking ahead to the new season, Amy and Chris open up about the ongoing family drama between her ex-husband, Matt Roloff, and their children over the family's farm. More than a year after tying the knot, the couple gushes about married life and explains how they navigate the holidays with their blended family. Season 24 of 'Little People, Big World' premieres Nov. 1 on TLC.

I truly love the Roloff family. I’ve been watching since the beginning and throughout their ups and downs. Certain situations have made me angry ( Matt always talking throughout the years about passing the farm down to his kids and ending up not doing it), but that doesn’t make me dislike him. Just disappointed. I love Chris and Amy together so much. I didn’t think I was going to like him in the beginning, but he is a wonderful person. Zack and Tori are such good parents and their relationship is lovely. I am really looking forward to another season of this precious family. Bless them all.❤️🙏

Same with me. Have watched from the beginning. Was so disappointed the farm didn’t get to b a part of the kids lives. Very sad. I didn’t think Chris was Mr Wonderful at first, either. Haha. But he’s great with Amy and he’s very kind to her family. I’m shocked at the relationship that’s developed between Chris and Matt. Never would have seen that coming 😂😂. I do squirm sometimes watching Amy when they all 3 banter back n forth. Haha. I was sad to see Zack move to another city. I know they maybe needed a fresh start but being a grandparent myself, u wanna b close to your kids and grandkids. It broke my heart to see the relationship with Matt, Zack, And Tori, go so sour. I hope Matt can humble himself and stop making so many bad decisions when money is involved 😪. To watch this family from the beginning and then see how each child has been harmed by different things involving the ugly side of fame…. Hurts me for this family

You know, Matt is who he is. In retrospect I can see why Amy & Matt didn't work out, but the basis for their relationship wasn't good to begin with. BOTH Amy and Matt at least are genuine people - ie. not phonies - which makes them good people in their own right. I like Matt for his creativity! Is he "money hungry"? No! He just knows what he has and TALKS about it. Amy is like the polar opposite. Personally, I wouldn't live with either one of them. Politically, I see Amy as leftist and Mart as right oriented, but I've never seen them express their views, so I don't really know. Their probably BOTH progressives.

In the early days I kind of took Matt's side. Amy never saw his vision, and he was so creative. Now I see his faults more, he did kind of bulldoze her. Sorry his relationships with his kids has taken such a turn.

I think she wanted Matt to sell because she intends on being mrs some day and if Jeremy or zack bought part of the farm, she won’t get it when Matt is gone, however, if he sells, his money his hers. I think she putting her 2 cents in is calculating. Matt in a raging narcissist. It’s a shame his kids won’t keep the farm going.

Not really, it’s great for the kids and grandkids. My husband and my ex are great friends, they go on fishing trips and sporting events together and we all spend holidays together with our kids and grandkids. I agree it’s different than the norm and not everyone can do it, but it’s so wonderful when those involved can make it work.

With this new season it’s the Grandchildren who are without their grandfather. Especially they will think that they don’t care. Because I can’t see them saying oh yah it’s because they didn’t sell the farm to them. It’s not making for good tv, Amy needs to be more supportive of the kids getting back to a relationship with Matt. I think down deep she likes it. She doesn’t have to agree about the sale but she doesn’t need to put her 2 cents in.

Started watching the early seasons of the Roloffs, I was shocked at how NEGATIVE Amy is and how everyone had to tolerate her behavior. I feel bad for Matt and the kids. I also notice how dirty the home is, sadly the kid's beds do not have fitted sheets on the mattresses.

Matt was constantly asking ALL of them to pick up after themselves. NONE of them have owned that part of the things that went so wrong in that house. I don't know how they excused living in a "mini hoarding house". I would have been horrified to have a filming crew in my house if it looked like that. Even the kids called Amy negative and depressing. I don't know how Matt lived w/her as long as he did.

I am ONLY interested in Zach, Tori and their BEAUTIFUL FAMILY! Zach is an old soul, incredible maturity for such a young man, with an incredible wife, Tori!!! He did have serious relationships and the last one lasted 8 years until he said she cheated on him like all his other girlfriends. He thought he'd never find someone who would be loyal, faithful, be honest and have integrity until he got to know Amy. He knew what a "true" and devoted person she was and he found what he had always wanted in the inner beauty and the undying live she had to offer him. At his birthday party he cried when he said, "I never thought I'd find somebody that would love me enough to do something like this (go to so much trouble) for me". He had been hurt so much he, like most people who've been through betrayal, thought it was his fault, like he didn't deserve to be treated right or or there was something lacking in himself and had began to lose hope that he'd find his soulmate. It shows strength and integrity for someone to hold out to marry until they were sure that person was THE RIGHT ONE instead of just marrying somebody because you're getting older and everybody expects you to get married. It's wrong for people to be teased or harrassed for that. That shows a very strong and noble character.
