They REALLY had to show Brian brutally being killed again a mere four episodes after the infamous "Life of Brian?" And then it started to kind of become a running gag where whenever "Family Guy" adapts any stories or whatever, Brian's character gets killed (see "High School English" for where Brian actually lampshades this!) as if it were a grim reminder of that whole darn "Death and Return of Brian" stunt.
