So beautiful... Yes, he has said that he was influenced by listening to Mahalia. Saw him last month at the Howard Theater in D.C. 79 years old. In a wheelchair, from unsuccessful hip surgery, but when they put him in front of the piano, he still wails like no one else.

As children in England we grew up learning to do the house chores to this album on the "gram", together with other gospel albums of my parents, Jim Reeves, Elvis,etc & early Jamaican gospel reggae, tunes like - I love that man from Galilaee. The funny thing was we would get some good old Jamaican hard "liks on our batties" if we didn't do things right! - even though we "live ina Hinglan" * My fren - I wud jus luv2 hear sum more tunes off de halbum, if possible please. lol :-)

Hey Phil! I think it's ironic and a little flattering that you and Timo from the Little Richard's Forum have interest in my song. No! "I saw What You Did" was never released. We shopped a record deal 1st with Warner Bros. As I have stated Richard produced it on me. The master was lost while we traveled the world. Richard used to tease me and the audience by playing a few bars from it on stage spontaneously while resting between songs, (something he normally does) but not much of it because we hadn't completed our deal and that was the first release planned. We've located the master but haven't got it in our possession yet. After 5 yrs I retired from the road to open Canryn Production Inc. my 7 company vision and blended songwriting with poetry and have gained success as published author of the "Miracles", series with B&N. (Please Google Seabrun Candy Hunter) and find out what I'm doing today. I'm thankful to God for giving me the life I've lived and to Richard for letting me share it with him. My thanks again for your interest after all of this time!

Hi Phil! About "I Want to be more than just your friend.. That was the first song that I recorded on myself in the studio in 1977 a year after I left the road with Richard, I only have the sound track for it, and I've been toying with the thought of putting the Original track on KZbin so the world can hear it for the first ever, (wouldn't that be something)? I don't have any videos but we're contacting the London press for info about the tour date at Wimbley Stadium London concert in 1972-73 to get video footage of me opening the shows for Richard, or newspaper articles for my autobiography. I didn't have the pleasure of being on any of the albums before 1971, that's when I started to travel with the King, but I've met many of the musicians during the years. Hope this is more info that helps clear things up a little. Thanks for asking.
