The original LRB will forever be the greatest Australian Band that ever existed! 💕
@robertmarszalek19782 ай бұрын
I'm from the US and I have to say they are up there with the best of the best in the entire planet and I think their harmonies are probably even better than the Eagles or at least a match but LRB's music just sticks to my ribs a little more because it feels more real and visceral. The best part of the Eagles was no doubt to me Randy and when he left the Eagles were never the same anyway. The only Eagles song that compares to lrb is Take It to the Limit and it sounds like it could have been written by lrb LOL so there you go

How come I missed this great and awesome Australian band? I lived in Australia for ten years until I moved to Rome, Italy in 2016, and all I've ever heard from this band is the song "Cool Change" here in YT. While staying home there when Covid lockdown was enforced in March of 2020 I even repeatedly tried it's Karaoke version which always earn a ridicule from my wife! Now, 2022 I'm retired and back in my home country of the Philippines , I only rediscover "Little River Band" when I saw their vocal intro of the song "Lonesome Loser" featured on Rick Beato's Top Vocal Intros of all time. And while checking up with that song, I stumble upon this whole awesome playlist from their concert way back in the U.S. I did'nt even know that "Reminishing" which I enjoy listening on radio back those days was from some American band which in fact was their own! They're simply one of the best band of all time.

My very first concert at the Nashville Tennessee State Fair back in oh........around '79 or '80. It was fantastic and I was hooked on concerts and seeing live music from that time on. These guys are the "real" Little River Band and its a crying shame that the original members cant even use their name anymore. These guys will always be LRB!!!!!!! Those were some good times. Our hospitals are overflowing with Covid patients again and so music is the one thing that can take me back to better times. I hope everyone is safe and well.

I saw LRB in Orange County California in 1986. My wife was pregnant with my first son and they were and still are great. John Farnham was the lead singer back then. I’m 69 now and still love rock music by great artists from the past. 👍😁❤️✌️

Except that this version of the band is missing two members George McArdle (bass) and David Briggs (lead guitar), who although not founding members were part of the lineup when the bulk of LRB’s early success came from songs written and recorded during the tenure of Briggs and McArdle with the founders..

Glen Shorrock even live in 2017 is still vocally strong ,with his rich tones and vocal capacity as strong as it has ever been even with LRB in their hay day.
