On my third day in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I came to possibly the most popular, productive, and sizable stream in the entire park - the Little River. Famous for it's 20in. Wild Brown Trout (but also boasting Wild Rainbow and Native Brook Trout), the Little River is quite extraordinary. Unfortunately, I was fishing during a low water period in October so hatches and water levels were not ideal. Fishing primarily with my spinning rod and reel (super ethical single barbless hooks), we managed to catch 9 or 10 Wild Bow and Browns and also a single Bow on a dry fly. As with the rest of this wonderful National Park, I feel like I've barely scratched the surface and cannot wait to go back and fish here again and again.

Cool videos. Just hit Cherokee (luftee) cades cove (abrams) and Townsend (little river) this week. My gf and I watch a lot of your videos since I am from Pittsburgh area. Cool that your videos were kind of a guide and we just missed you. Love the videos and commentary. Try to keep your knuckles off the ground with that spinning stick 😂 tight lines bro

Shame on you using a spinner you even know that you have to jerk the rod tip to get the blade turning

why do you like wild brown trout over wild rainbow trout or the native specie Brooke trout

I enjoy fishing for and appreciate each, but Brownies are my favorite for two reasons. 1.) they can adapt to more watersheds and reproduce naturally (at least in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast where I'm from) and 2.) they can grow to pretty good sizes even in smaller streams (again where I'm from specifically). I'm sure if I was from the Pacific Northwest I'd love rainbows/steelheads or if I was from northern New England maybe it would be brookies.
