I think Arab parents are afraid their kids are gonna turn into typical American teenagers, so they strict them with rules. Little do they know that these rules are the reason they would want to be American teenagers!!!! Like omg!! Im a muslim arabic girl, and I know why I'm muslim, so I love being Muslim. I feel so bad that hidaya isn’t allowed to go places and live the life she wants to.. I’m a muslim but my parents are incredibly chill about my outside life and they let me and my brother hang out whenever we want as long as it’s not too late at night (and by night i mean like 11/12pm) I also feel so bad that hidaya has to deal with that kind of culture because there are many types of muslim cultures and she has to deal with the “strict” ones..
