Am I the only one who cries a little bit at this song? I’m the oldest of three and am living in a relatively small city that’s very conservative and homophobic and this perfectly captures how I feel towards my little brother and sister. My brother is gay and my little sister is very religious and I want so badly to show them that there’s a whole huge world out there outside of our small minded town. I know I can’t make choices for them, so I try to lead by example and always be ready to talk if they want to. Anyway I love this song!!! 💗💗

[Chorus] Tell me little dear if you only lived here Did you really ever live at all Cause you'd be amazed in the summer how the days Of the spring turn into fall Just listen to your brother You can run in the cover of the night sky when it falls I know that you think that you're growing But you're just tall [Post-Chorus] Ooh-ooh-ooh [Verse 2] A really pretty girl in a really small town Easy to believe you that you never settle down Mama told your mama just to say not long ago You want a baby, the same as your friends Ring'll find on your finger, and your story will end You'll be lookin' 'round, wonder where did the time go? [Chorus] Tell me little dear if you only lived here Did you really ever live at all Cause you'd be amazed in the summer how the days Of the spring turn into fall Just listen to your brother You can run in the cover of the night sky when it falls I know that you think that you're growing But you're just tall [Post-Chorus] Ooh-ooh-ooh [Bridge] Woah-oh Don't you think I know There never was a red light in our town Woah-oh I hate to say I told you so But you got to go right now [Chorus] Tell me little dear if you only lived here Did you really ever live at all Cause you'd be amazed in the summer how the days Of the spring turn into fall Just listen to your brother You can run in the cover of the night sky when it falls I know that you think that you're growing But you're just tall [Post-Chorus] Ooh-ooh-ooh Oooh-ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

@@taylornordquist6781 hey! uh I’m not sure it Trixie has said smth different somewhere and if she has i apologise but generally speaking queens prefer to be called by their drag name in and out of drag by fans as that makes them more comfortable hence why I didn’t address him as Brian as I didn’t want to be disrespectful to what his/her wishes are. But again no hate if Brian has asked to be called his boy name out of drag I’m perfectly ok w that and I respect his choice! I love Trixie/Brian regardless 💕

@@jenalawler2146 ok thank you so much for replying respectfully. i get a lot of backlash on here for small things so i appreciate it. while trixie hasn’t publicly said anything, i was just concerned because i know trixie’s family isn’t as proud of him as his brother and other family members, and sometimes the fandom can romanticize the idea of trixie but not love brian behind it. i think he also tried to slide it into the mama don’t make me put on the dress again video, that sometimes the fandom isn’t proud of brian, or the creator of the character trixie. thank you so much for answering. i also was not at all trying to be rude in my reply, so j truly apologize if i came across that way. ❤️

As much as I enjoy the more pop-esque upbeat sound of her current music THIS is truly incredible. The lyricism, the melody… everything about this song is so wonderful.
