I just watched Little Wound Warriors and this song came on twice. Such a beautiful song and I seriously start crying when dude was talking about our relationship to the buffalo. That was such a beautiful moment, if u haven’t seen that movie, I highly recommend it to anyone reading this

I know that song...they sang it for suicide prevention week cause some kids committed suicide but when that happened at the game they had the girls sing cause the person that died was a native and in Lakota in ways...were all family💔❤

Brionne Hopkins you should’ve said kids lost there life to suicide not some kids it makes it sound disrespectful no hate just saying then yet your prob not gonna listen to me I mean I’m only 13

Many many blessings and encouragement to all the Native American youths on all reservations of this land and Canadian land as well! Know that you are powerful and able to achieve all things in life! I say these things with love and sincerity to you all! Aho

I remember this. This was during a terrible time when PRHS lost a few students to suicide. The whole Rez in general lost a lot of people that year.
@leeellenwood54615 жыл бұрын
Dante Mendoza sadly every rez loses to many to self inflicted ways. Whether suicide, drugs,alcohol, list goes on and on. It's too unfortunate.

I don't think I have a single ounce of Native blood in me.... I'm as white as they come and was born a bastard child, and was raised around a family of 3 brothers who's mother abandoned them at birth and was raised by their dad in Oklahoma. I couldn't help but to share that every time I hear a song like this, or even young men and women honoring their heritage, I cry my eyes out. There's nothing that I can explain about this, and I don't think I will ever be able to. But I feel it... I fucking feel it man and I cry my eyes out every time I hear something like this. I wish every single one of ya'll nothing but love, support, and admiration. Sincerest Regards; Taylor

I love this song I'm trying to learn it so I can participate singing this song in the sweat lodge. I can sing it if I'm singing with this on but I'm trying to remember this so I can sing it when ever I want, on my own.
