When my husband would come home from work, my boy Pompom would start wheeking about a minute before came through the door, cause my husband would feed them as soon as he got home. Turned out he could hear the car coming down the street and learned to recognise the particular sound of my husbands car and get all excited. We tested it out and he wouldn't wheek for other cars driving down the street at the same time, just my husbands. And it wasn't that he was pulling into our driveway, he would hear his car from right down the street and start wheeking. Amazing hearing. I'd be sitting working in the living room and he would just start wheeking and I knew my husband was nearly home.

It must be that you are hinting about a house ...with various improvements to family life. A separate room for the piggies? But they'll be sad! A larger living room with piggies in their new cage in the corner? A grassy lawn, no chemical treatment, where you can put out the outdoor playpen for them, roofed to provide protection, and they can eat fresh grass and dandelions (?), A vegetable garden where you can grow your own cucumbers?

We used to have the same problem catching everything when our son was little. Hang in there and feel better soon! Might make an interesting video to share what common medical conditions can be passed to guinea pigs. Lice? Colds?
