And in the future he wants to live and work in China, I've said he must watch your channel to see the real China, so keep up the good work. take care Steve

I've been a tibetan buddhist since 2002... My family used to takecare of monks and residents that fled from that region. But I also travel around China regularly, and I'm quite happy to see that they have much better housing, public infrastructure, and stability now. I was worried their culture and history would be lost, but this seems amazing.

Dr.Yan, the solar farm/tower, set amidst a vast landscape, looks so other-worldly with its blinding brightness. What a contrast to the Tongren Grand monastery’s warm, glowing nightlight. Thank you for the educational segment on the painstakingly but lovingly crafted thangka paintings..
@kennytam95145 сағат бұрын
Firstly the solar panel farm is amazing. China is using more and more green energy than ever. Two thumbs up 👍👍 I went to a Buddha school in Hong Kong from 1964 to 1970. I can appreciate and admire the artists who made those Thangka paintings. The amount of patience they have is incredible. Not to mention they have steady hands while they teach themselves the spiritual value of Buddhasm. Thanks Yan, for another amazing video on an amazing topic at an amazing place.

Thank you, Yan, for another terrific video! There was a lot to see here, but the highlight for me was learning about the Thangka paintings. I have always thought they were amazingly detailed, but didn't know about the techniques and materials used, how much time they take, or that it is a spiritual practice. I have a much better appreciation for them and the painters now!😊

The Thanka artists are incredible and something you really must see in person to appreciate. I was lucky enough to spend time in Xiahe last year and speak with some amazing artists and watch them at work. What I thought was amazing is that so many of them are relatively young and passionate about their work - it's great to see the revival of a traditional craft. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, Thank you for sharing such an incredible journeys on your channel. I particularly enjoyed the episode where you visited Yatung County, as my parents were from there. I’ve heard many beautiful stories about the sacredness of the area-the river, the mountains, the spiritual traditions, and so much more. I got very emotional watching that episode, especially when you spoke with the lady from the Dömo tribe. Her turquoise earrings reminded me so much of my mother. If possible, I would love to request a feature on the upper part of Yatung (Drömo Toë). Thank you so much!
