As someone who has recently gone through a break up like you, you are an inspiration. The daunting thought of travelling and adventuring out alone is one I'm battling with myself. Phoebe I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for your videos, your adventures, and you continuing to be yourself and discovering more about yourself. Even though you have had some hard times you still find ways to make yourself laugh and find ways to find peace and happiness in the little things. Today is a hard day, it marks 5 years since my mom passed away. Every year on this day I pick up the necklace that has her ashes in it and allow myself to remember and grieve. However, your video today made me laugh and smile. It's all because of you that I start off today with a little bit of joy. For that, I thank you. Much love ❤

Good to see you starting your next adventures. I’ve been traveling solo for a long time and used to it. Only downside of traveling solo is you get used to it and struggle to travel with friends, family or your next love.

You are on a new journey of discovering yourself. Take time to heal and you are doing a good thing by taking a trip on your own. Be positive and life will open up new adventures. My husband and I are embarking on a big trip around Australia in our caravan. We are in our 70s now and it is going to be a great adventure especially for as I am a real home body, I decicided to do this after I had a mini stroke , I am feeling really positive that I can do it. Cheers Julie

Perfect! That’s the first thought I had when you revealed your surprise. What a perfect-absolutely perfect-trip to take. Scary? Yup. Intimidating? You betcha. Uncomfortable? Absolutely. And that’s why it’s perfect! Great way to see your new home. Great way to rebuild your confidence. * Keep doing the quick “coming up” shots. Great way to tease our interest in the coming video. * By doing what scares you, you conquer it, and it’s scary no more. You control it. * Great mix of video with narration. Gotta say, just showing your drive really shows how beautiful NQL is-wow. I actually love long distance driving (as long as there aren’t cats crying in the back seat 😂), so those images make me jealous. * As a fellow introvert, I know your true moment of bravery is taking that deep breath, opening the door, and stepping outside. And *look* what you saw!! What an incredible spot!! * I like when you show the signage of where you are. Gives us a chance to pause and read them. A way for us to join with you. * The Josephine Falls are some of the most beautiful images you’ve ever recorded. Seriously, well done. * Shout out back at your parents! We’ve seen what they mean to our friend and we can’t help but love them back. * “That thing can and will kill you. Let’s go say hello!” 😂 * Said it in another post and it will forever be true: there’s something magic about a beach. * It was just after 6 am when I was first watching and I almost woke up the house laughing when your camera flipped over. 😂 * The waves of loneliness, I’m sorry to say, will keep coming from time to time. They’ll eventually slow and be further apart. Trick is to find those next moments (like the morning at the beach) when you realize, as you did, “everything’s gonna be okay.” * Spectacular video of you in front of the sunrise. Didn’t get a GMYG, but you let the images say that for us-good way to do it. Love how the camera’s focus is not on you, but you and the sun are what draw in the viewer. Again, your video style is really coming out and it is fantastic. * Don’t know if I’ve mentioned before, big fan of the music you use and how you integrate it into your editing. That’s gotta take a lot of work to get the timing down. Great job! * Yeah, I still see words that seem to be speaking to the pain that you take out of context. After a time, I’ve learned to smile at those words and take their power away from them. “Drifting alone.” No, you’re not. You’re not drifting. You’re taking control. And you found your Magic and Sparkle-we can see it. * The best (& most frustrating part) of a road trip is when the navigation fails and you end up…well, damn. Reset and go again tomorrow! * My Mom’s over 70 and I’m still terrified of her. I’ll tell your Mom if you need, but only because I’m on the other side of the world-am I far enough away to be safe? 😜 * Told you that you’ve got this! You can back in that beast, you can do anything! * Thank you for sharing that book passage. I know how much those words meant to you-because I watched that segment many times. I wish I had read those words in 2010 when I experienced my loss. Keep those words close to your heart and soul, Phoebe. Listen to them. It’s truth. * I’ve rewatched a lot of your videos from the past. They’re fantastic and focus on your journey. What to see, do, and eat, so we can do the same. But now your journey isn’t just to places, it’s within. And just wanted to say thank you for sharing. You say we mean a lot to you in these comments. But you mean a lot to us, too. * Homemade comfort food-the best. * Looking forward to next week’s journey. Not just where you are going in Australia, but also within your heart. I agree, staying local is the best plan. Rebuild your confidence, rebuild your heart. We’ll be with you all the way. Rob (I know my reviews are kinda long…if they’re too long lemme know…I just like sharing my reactions and support with ya)

hahaha so glad you spotted that camera flip and the 'drifting alone' bit haha I love knowing that I'm layering all these little things into the videos and you're spotting them! Being brave is not about not being terrified, it's about being terrified but still continuing. You manage filming yourself really well, if it was my first time watching one of your videos, I'd have thought this was the way you'd always worked. Impressive adaptabiity, even without all the emotional side of things to deal with along the way! Only got five minutes in, 'cause life, but will be sure to come back and watch the rest tomorrow. To be honest, I had subscribed ages ago, probably years, but never really connected with your channel until your brave turning point videos, and since you've let us all in at such a personal level, that kinda changed the way I see the videos, and now I feel invested in your journey. Plus it's good to learn from someone who's making this KZbin thing work for them successfully! But at this point, I enjoy watching 'cause I'm just rooting for you and hoping to see great things ahead. Best of luck!

Actually, everyone like traveling or looking around, even myself, but with some limitations on work and different condition everyone can not travel as want. Each journey will give us so many useful things and different mixed feelings ; overwhelming, amazing, impressive and, some time, scary and so quiet, but in fact those we touch are the most valuable thing and resulting powerful mind in life. This is real life experiences and freedom and independent life. If I have opportunity and free time, I will start traveling in every Conner of the world. Hope you enjoy your traveling …❤❤❤

Having places to explore and admire the simple things I find is always best way to unwind through difficult times. I moved to Canada from the UK last year and before I left just happened to have a traumatic work situation. I still have days where I fixate on the negatives, but every day I spend seeing/experiencing new things reminds me there's plenty of better things ahead and I'm sure you will find that too. Hope you make the best of coming adventures and have better luck chasing waterfalls. I'm having that issue too, being deprived of seeing them, mainly because the ones here are still frozen!!

Hiya! Glad to hear some energy back in your voice. Always just do things when you're afraid of scared, except for when you can literally die (climbing the Bicentennial tree in Western Australia for instance, I did some 15-20 meters and then got back down). The environment you drove through looks stunning! Fish & Chips, my guilty pleasure if available gluten-free, it's the best comfort food 🍟. All those gorgeous nature and surroundings makes me feel a bit 'home-sick', but keep in mind I always say "I still call Australia home". Your country is so gorgeous, people are so friendly. If I had the visa to work there, I would apply and move right away. Thanks for sharing this with us and have an amazing week ahead 🤙
@travelforphoebe Жыл бұрын
Wow I hope you get a visa one day Felix - it sounds like Australia has your heart!!! You'll just have to come live here so you can be in 'your place' for longer :) Always love hearing about your adventures!!!!

Hehe. Oh what a cool adventure. I laughed quite a bit. The fish and chips beach dinner when you were sad was lovely. I'm petrified much the same. Soon I'll get a caravan and I'll be heading up from Brisbane to Cairns. Travelling the country is the idea. I'm freaking out. Excited but freaked. But gravel roads will be fine and I can always unhitch the van and just take the ute. Btw your mum's got one hell of a nice van. Love how you called and she must've used the words "strangle" and "if one single scratch" in the same sentence. 😂 Great video and aura about you - I hope you enjoy FNQ and maybe one day we'll bump into each other exploring that area. 👋 Oh and that page you read was so spot on. Since 2019 all the changes that led me from Melbourne to Brisbane to now caravan life... and what that's all meant. Life is wonderful and pain one day you realise has removed baggage to make way for such an amazing tomorrow.

Loved this video! I genuinely laughed out loud on the "This is amazing/This is terrifying!" cut. Babinda looked babeautiful, it's been too long since I've headed up north. That van is actually my dream vehicle. Thats my retirement plan, a big old van and just travelling. It's my Travel Van Plan. Cassowary! They used to be known as Cassoapproachy but were renamed hastily. Of course their latin name is Murderbird. 'Maybe I'm not lonely, I'm just hungry' is the battlecry of my people. Loved this first episode of the new series. Stay safe out there and keep growing and discovering🙂

Hahahaha I put that cut in there wondering if anyone would catch it AND YOU DID! 🤣🙌🏻 Your travel van plan is a dang good one! It’s such a great way to explore. I’m really getting into the pace of it, so relaxed and no airports/taxis. So good. Hahaha maybe we’ll pop that battle cry in some merch 😂 Thank you!! Have a great week xx

@@travelforphoebe I loved it! Such a devastating cut, I chuckled away to myself🙂 If you put that slogan on anything, I would purchase it. I would purchase the heck out of it.

Hi Phoebe! I recently came across your videos about a month ago and have been following you since then. Your journey to finding yourself again is going to be fun, exciting, and scary and that's alright because that's part of the journey! You'll be surprised to discover new things about yourself as you continue to grow and find your way again in this crazy but beautiful world we live in. Just take it day by day and heal in your OWN time, not what people tell you. Now is the time to take control of your life again and live for YOU❤. P.S. any chance you can share the song that you used in your video (2:10)? It's such a good vibe😁. Thank you!

Been following along with your journey recently and I am on the same boat. My breakup was last year yet it still feels fresh and it was s very long relationship, so I'm struggling to really let go. Going through it with you is helpful though. You are so right that its an emotional rollercoaster from hour to hour, minute to minute. I am literally down almost all the time, though late at night I get some relief. I'm going on a solo trip next month to Bali. Hopefully that'll help me. I was just there 2 months ago but came home early cause I was feeling so sad. Hopefully take 2 will go better. Wish we could just press a button and take all of this pain away. The loneliness is unbearable.

It's hard cos you don't feel like doing anything but you only feel better if you do the things! You gotta fight so hard to push yourself to do them... get up, get outside, fresh air, walk the dog, see the beach, connect with nature, eat good food, read books, practice gratitude, exercise, get enough sleep, go to work, talk to people. It's WORK, huh! gosh. We'll get through it, don't worry :)

First of all I’m loving the video! You are doing so well stepping out of your comfort zone and facing the fear. I can relate to so much of how you feel and especially to the social anxiety and being self conscious about filming in public lol. I’m inspired by you and have been trying to just do it scared too. Also I love that page in your book. I’m going to have to read that one. I believe I’m about to end one season and step into a new one and part of that is letting go of this life to embrace a new one…a more authentically me one. I’m so unhappy in my current life and I can’t wait to step into the life I really want which includes a lot more travel. I’m trying to upload new travel videos each week and improve my editing. Just need people to watch 😂 love ya Sis. Keep going 😘 Bek xx
@travelforphoebe Жыл бұрын
I totally feel you on all of that! The 'more authentically me,' is so relatable :) Just gotta take it little by little and we'll get there. I can tell you, it feels so good once you get through those fears piece by piece. Each of those tiny victories is another piece of the puzzle!
