I know safety is an issue, and I have seen things happening with my own eyes but I never felt unsafe or threatened even hanging around alone taking public transport. People are so happy you come visit their beautiful country and show their way of doing things and share their culture! I really only have praise for these beautiful people living in one of the most beautiful country I have ever been to and( as a fussy French vegetarian) the Best food I have encountered in all my travels. And then you get all the sightseeings the wilderness the wildlife, diving sites, beaches,outdoor activities, the wines South Africa is really hard to beat! I do agree with you that to be safe throughout, it's best to book a tourguide on whichever leg of your tour...and most important to listen well and follow the guidelines. I would highly recommend it in order to enjoy. You really cannot go wrong in doing just that. A vaccination certificate is no longer required to visit our beautiful country, South Africa.

I think you must make it more clear about the requirement for safety in the larger cities. It's all well and good saying the positives, but you're more at risk from being robbed or killed by people in the cities than animals on a safari in SA

Easiest advice. Stay away from all CBD areas. Like JHB CBD. But in the tourist areas the security is better for obvious reasons. Local is mostly lekker😂

Oooh look it’s a bit tough at times but if you plan ahead you’ll find amazing restaurants! I was honestly so impressed but how amazing the food was in Jo’Burg! You may need to stick to pre-planned restaurants and cafes rather than street eats 😊🙏🏼
