I remember Jade saying at the LM5 tour that the song is about their relationship with Kamillle. This lyric really stood out to me: 'You turned, you turned, you turned a disaster into a dream Gave me the power, made my life brand new (When the world try to break us, we found magic And we grew stronger, though every line'. Perrie is singing about how the break up with Zayn was a disaster, however they gained SOTME which really was a turning point for the group. The song was empowering and especially for Perrie. Jade is singing about how the world tried to break them or say they were going to break up and then they came back with Black Magic and they came back stronger. Both Black Magic and Shout out to my ex were co-written by Kamille. I think it's just a lovely sentiment. This is just my interpretation of the lyrics..I could be completely wrong lol 😊
