As a child, maybe 55 years ago, I woke to new baby piglets in a basket in our kitchen one very cold morning. I loved this video. Thanks for posting! Fun fact - my brothers and I named all our animals. The mama was named Iona (after my mother) and the daddy was Russell (after my daddy)! 😊

Hi Chelsea! I just wanted to say how much I love your channel! One of the nurses I work with has been following you for awhile now and referred me. Being in my kitchen is something I really miss quite a bit. I have to say many of us depend so much on KZbin to give us that break in between which gets us through our long schedules. So thank you for that! I really enjoy so many things about your videos and look forward to your cookbook. It'll give me something to look forward to when my hours start slowing down. Thank you again Chelsea for helping many of us get through some pretty long hours here at work. Happy Holidays to you and your family 🎄

Enjoyed today's video very much! Baby pigs are the cutest things ever. I also think pigs are the smartest farm animal ever. We had a mama that had 16 babies with 18 teats for her first litter but she had room for two more. Unfortunately, a rattlesnake killed her after he piglets were weaned. We all cried as she was the sweetest thing. a Chester White and had the best floppy ears ever. I can see why you take the babies inside at 35 below - here in Florida we never had problems with cold but heat was another story.

Hi Chelsea - the baby pigs are so cute. The soup you made is very similar to one I make every year, it is very nutritious and so tasty, also with potatoes and carrots it is very filling. Last year due to weather we had very few squash develop, I start my plants in the greenhouse and then plant them out in June, but for some reason the plants just didn’t grow well or produce fruit. Hopefully this coming year they will do better - we usually get about 100 squash and 100 food pumpkins - which store well over winter.

Thanks again for the video. A possible tip for squash soup. I have always scooped out squash flesh from the skin. BUT, my vegan niece-in-law made a really good squash soup for us, and did not skin it--just blended up the whole thing, skin and all. You absolutely could. not tell that it contained the skin. I do not know if this will work with all squash, but am guessing that yes, it would. I was astounded. I guess you're never too old (and I AM old) to learn something!
