These two would be PERFECT for the new movie. Why didn’t they cast them??? Jake would be their star name, is a fun actor, is great for the role and interprets the character in a fun way. Eddie is comparable to some of the greatest Audrey II’s (including Levi Stubbs), plus he brings a Disney villain vibe to the role (which I am a sucker for).

'Cause if you feed me, Seymour, I can grow up, big and strong. Would you like a Cadillac car? Or a guest-shot on Jack Paar? How about a date with Hedy Lamarr... You gonna git it. How'd ya like to be a big wheel? Dining out, for every meal. I'm the plant can make it all real. You're gonna git it. Hey, I'm your genie. I'm your friend. I'm your willin' slave... Take a chance, feed me, yeah. You know the kinda eats, The kinda ret-hot treats, The kinda sticky licky, sweets I crave... Ow! Come on, Seymour, Don't be a putz! Trust me and your life will surely Rival King Tut's. Show a little initiative, boy, Work up some guts, And you'll git it. I don't know. I don't know. I have so... so many strong... reservations. Should I go... and perform... mutilations? Think about a room at the Ritz, Wrapped in velvet, covered in glitz. A little nookie gonna clean up those zits, And you'll git it... uh huh... Gee I'd like a Harley machine. Tooling around like I was James Dean. Makin' all the guys on the corner turn green! So, go git it! Woo woo woo! If you wanna be profound... If you really gotta justify... Take a breath and look around... A lot of folks deserve to die... Stupid woman! Christ, what a freakin' scatterbrain! I'm sorry, doctor! I'm sorry doctor! If you want a rationale, It isn't very hard to see. No, No, No... Stop and think it over, pal. The guy sure looks like plant food to me! The guy sure looks like plant food to me! The guy sure looks like plant food to me...! He's so nasty treatin' her rough! Smackin' her around, and always talkin' so tough! You need blood and he's got more than enough! I still can't get past the whole scripts on stage thing. I get that it's a concert, not a stage play, but I would appreciate it if they at least took the time to learn the lyrics.
@josshoskie8 жыл бұрын
I watched this video and timed how long each actor used their script. In the span of 6 minutes and 45 seconds, Jake held his script for about a 1 minute and 4 seconds, and actually only used (read it) it for about 18 seconds, 8 seconds of which was spent flipping through the script to find their place (as no one had used it in a good amount of time), only for the scene before the song. Eddie, Ellen, and Taran, meanwhile, never used any. I see where you're coming from, but I think them not knowing the lyrics / lines is almost a non issue.
@scottishphotographer8 жыл бұрын
They had six days of rehearsal and four performances over two days; not a lot of time to prep, particularly if you have a schedule like Mr Gyllenhaal's. It's completely standard practice to have performers on the book at concerts.
