Hello! I’m searching to buy my first stethoscope and watching your videos are being really helpful! I have a question for you the Littmann core is better than the eko duo? I heard that some people are having trouble connecting their Bluetooth to the eko duo but haven’t heard anything about the littmann So does the littmann core connects to the hearing aids Bluetooth without any problems? Does the eko attachment has a better connection or it doesn’t matter?

Hi @user-lj3gs5vb2u. In my opinion I prefer the CORE. It has become my main stethoscope. I have no problems at all with the connection and there is no difference between the CORE and EKO attachment. It's the same thing really. But I will say that when I do use the DUO I don't have problems connecting either but again I prefer the CORE. Hope that helps :)

Great video! I’ve been conflicted on which to buy and this helped so much. Do you happen to have a stethoscope that isn’t a cardiology? I just wonder if the sound is as amplified if it wasn’t a cardiology stethoscope. I personally have a classic III

@@msmonicaacero Hi Monica, I tried the Eko Attachment with the "standard connectors" (included in the box) to an adult stethoscope at work and it works. The tubing is pretty thick. For pediatric, there is a pediatric connectors included that you can use with a pediatric stethoscope (thin tubing). Hope that makes sense.

Hi @rls895k, do you have bluetooth hearing aids? If so, if you download the Eko app you can hear directly into your hearing aids...it's amazing! If you don't but have the T-Coil activated in your hearing aids you can use a streamer that becomes a bluetooth device and pair with the Eko app. :)

Thanks so much for your video :) I have not done any hearing test on past month but I know I have difficulties to hear at some time when I am in a normally chatting and its reflecting on my collage practice..I searched and those diverse came a cross.......I have 02 questions: 1) Does the core or eko attachment fit on the littmann classic 2? I really fancy to have the ecg graphics and learn from it as I am medical student. 2) Is the both devices, core or Eko attachment, shows ECG graphics (PQRST)? Because I see the the Littman marketing showing only The sound graphics...thanks so much :)

Hi James, thanks for your question. I just uploaded another video (Medical Professionals - connect to Littmann Stethoscope: Video II) if you want to check that out. I have taken off the tubing end that connects to the earpiece side and leave the Eko attachment to the head of stethoscope. I have used it both ways for various settings. You will see that in my updated video. Hope that hopes.

Ugh!!! I bought the Littman Core and not the attachment (but I thought the attachment was in the core). I have a cochlear implant and was expecting it to bluetooth. I have about 80% hearing loss in the opposite ear of cochlear implant. It’s definitely not what I expecting in loudness or connection with Bluetooth. Maybe I am doing it wrong. Aaah!! 😢😬

Please work with your audiologist to see if you can work on the bluetooth connection! I rely on my "good ear" to do all the listening since my other ear is useless. Having the visual aspect of heart/lungs/BP sounds really adds to the experience. However, to get the best amplification in a stethoscope I think the ThinkLabs One has the most. Although it is very expensive and does not have a great bluetooth and visual. I wonder if you contact ThinkLabs One to ask if you can try before buying... check out this comparison chart. www.amphl.org/comparison-table

They are going to send me another one. 🤞🏼 but I do wonder with the Eko only having 40% amplification, if it will be really effective. I might just go ahead and buy the thinklabs. I did get a new stethoscope and it works amazingly. There is definitely back ground noise, but I can connect it to my cochlear implant’s Bluetooth and to my phone. Makes the patients smile when I allow them to here their heart beats. And laugh when I let them hear their bowel sounds.

I have not had experience with BAHA hearing aids. What I can say is if the BAHA has bluetooth and can connect to your cell phone, yes it should pair just fine. :)

I have no sound out of my right ear so I use an electric littmann at work. So i went out to and bought the core that comes with the littman and honestly my electric littman is the better!!! So I will probably be selling my core.

I bought the EKO stethoscope but I’m having some issues with hearing heart sounds clearly through my Bluetooth heating aids (BTE Oticon Opn S1). They connect but the heart sounds are garbage (just through the hearing aids). However, through Bluetooth headphones (e.g. Bose, the sound is fantastic.) I contacted customer support at EKO and we think it might be some of the setting on my hearing aids (e.g. various sound frequencies are at different levels on my hearing aids to account for the hearing losses I have a different frequencies…which completely makes sense as that’s how hearing work…. Unless it’s some kind of line input). That said, I’ve got an appointment with my hearing aid provider next week to see how it goes. (I admit it’s a little frustrating as phone calls and music sound ok through my hearing aids, but maybe the nuances of heart sounds is different???). Would I recommend the EKO? It’s definitely a nice stethoscope…the EKO attachment is nice with the added volume, but I still haven’t gotten out all of the bugs. I might need to get some Bluetooth ear buds and put one in one ear and one leave my hearing aid in the , or use some “mushroom tips” to go on the outside of my ears so the tube from the BTE aids to jab into my EC too far. Long and short of it. I like the amplification as it allows me to keep my hearing aids in. I’m hoping Bluetooth will connect some it’s a tight system.

How did it go? I’m struggling to find a stethoscope that connects with Bluetooth that works well with heart sounds with my BTE (Signia) hearing aids! What did you find out? I do not need the ecg recording and I absolutely do not want to record heart sounds and listen even a minute later-that’s pretty useless for breath sounds to see if my patient is successfully intubated! I’m anxiously waiting for your (hopefully) good results!

@@goldlady899 we played with some settings, but nothing really worked on the Oticon Opn S1 hearing aids I have. I honestly think it’s the size of the driver/speaker in the aids themselves. They’re pretty tiny an made to boost the human voice, I don’t think that model is designed with enough fidelity/bandwidth/bass to really function as a pair of Bluetooth headphones. I got some small Bluetooth ear buds… Soundcore Space A40 that work pretty well. Before purchasing a new set of hearing aids, I’ll research to see what works best from EKO and use that as a one criteria in making a new purchasing decision. I’m wondering if hearing aids byy GN (who also make Jabra headphone’s might be better) The EKO by itself if good though. I can hear fine, and I’ve stretched out the neck spring a bit so it’s not as uncomfortable pushing the hearing aid tubes deeper into my ears.

Well, I bought the whole stethoscope (cardio iv) for 300 because the attachment by itself is 250. And sold my old cardio iv stethoscope for $150. Everybody wins. Lol I saved 100 and got a brand new cardio iv, plus the electronic piece of course.

Reba Mukerjee, do you have bluetooth hearing aids and are you able to connect your hearing aids to your phone? The only way to connect the CORE or attachment is through the EKO app on the phone. Hope that helps

Amazon is charging $299 for littman core digital and Eko is charging $349, but $299 with use of code "HEART" until February 28th then it's back to regular price of $349, I might have to pay full price, or just pay $249 for the Eko piece and attach it to my wife's old pink littman stethoscope which is no longer beign used, she decides to change career..., Let remind you it pinkkkk and I'll be using it in the respiratory care therapy school😂🤣😂🤣...I'll be the laughing stock to my program peers😁... what should I do????

I appreciate your sense of humor! :) I'd say that if you were to buy the CORE attachment for $249 (seems they increased the price) and use the pink stethoscope - I would think 'real men wear pink' (supporting breast cancer survivors year round). But if for some reason you feel you can't stay with the pink stethoscope, it will cost you another $100 to get the chestpiece plus the earpiece tubing from Eko to add to the attachment...so, essentially it would cost the same as full CORE stethoscope. Even if you were to purchase the Littmann Cardiology IV it would cost around $169 on Amazon and that would put you above the full CORE. Hi Dr. Abhijeet kolespatil, I am following up with an update to your question. Up to this point I have only been using the Eko app and recently I created an account on the Eko website and transferred my recordings. This is free. On the dashboard of the web version, it DOES tell you when it detects a murmur...so YES, it does detect automatically! Hope that is helpful. WARNING: A GREAT DEVICE WITH A VERY POOR SERVICE. THey have a very poor service. I availed eko core attachment last May 2021. Today I am having a problem, my eko core attachment is not charging. I contact them through chat support to inquire. And they told me they don't have parts for a replacement of the battery and EVEN IF i asked them i am willing to pay for repair service, they told me that they cannot do anything. Again eko core can do its job BUT AFTER YOUR WARRANTY PERIOD they do not have any replacementa for battery and THEY DO NOT OFFER repair. It is just a waste of money.

I think you did goof again sweetie. You do not have the ear pieces placed in your ears in order to hear any sounds. You have it placed around your neck instead of in your ears.
