Among the other things mentioned, Liu Yuning also livestreams and he's hilarious. There are some clips with fan translations available on youtube. He used to livestream several times a week for hours at a time; less now since he's busy with other projects, but he definitely has the gift of the gab. His streams have pulled in like 30-50 million views. Livestreaming was actually how he got his chance to enter the music and acting industry. One of the songs he sang on livestream went viral on weibo or douyin. He used to get looked down on for being an internet celebrity with no formal training (the Chinese entertainment space can be very classist) but much less so now since the talent is undeniable especially as a singer.

Liu Yu Ning is one of my favorite drama singer besides Zhao Shen. But the first time I've heard him sing rock. Yeah baby. My type of genre! But I'm new to Zhang Wei because of "Love in the Desert" and I thought it was a female. Fun fact: Liu Yu Ning is 6'2" and he's all leg. And I love his dramas and his appearance. Cute.

Liu YuNing is my idol. He can sing every genre under the sun. He started out as a singer in the street , and built his way up the past few years through live streaming, his Modern Brothers band , singing competitions and then he evolved into acting which he does amazing well at too. He’s super talented and just gets better and better . He releases OSTs at least twice a month and each one is better than the next . He’s so so good. He used to sing rock style about 7-8 years ago and then had vocal cord surgery in 2019 due to polyps. He is self learned and never had professional training . Fun fact: Liu Yuning & Zhang Wei (or Wowkie Zhang) were both band frontmen. Zhang's band The Flowers unfortunately disbanded in '09, but he continuous to be a household name as a pop rock singer-songwriter and TV celebrity with his humorous dialogues. Whereas Liu's band members from Modern Brothers decided to not join the entertainment world, so we'd probably get to see the whole band reunited in the upcoming tour, that's probably kicking off before the year ends.

Da Zhangwei is a well-known and well respected senior artist in the Chinese music industry! He is actually a better known songwriter and has many popular songs under his belt. He was already very famous when Liu Yuning debuted but they instantly clicked and have been best of friends ever since! Actually Liu Yuning is in a band! They're called Modern Brothers, Yuning ge is the main singer and there are also Da Fei and Ah Zhuo who are keyboardist and guitarist respectively. They are still together as a band but Liu Yuning has also recently been doing solo projects with his acting career and music like this variety show. 😁

His name is technically Zhang Wei, but he's better known as Da Zhangwei (da = big) or his nickname Da-laoshi (teacher). He's chaotic in the best way. Every time DLS is on screen, you know it's gonna be a good time and people will probably be laughing. He's known for speaking very fast, making lots of silly jokes and puns, wearing lots of bright colours, and having overall positive songs. He was one of the co-hosts of Day Day Up (along with Wang Yibo) for many years and they're still like brothers. Liu Yuning, oh Liu Yuning. I adore this man. His voice is fantastic and he's so funny. (And TALL. i swear he is like 70% legs lol) I watch his weibo livestreams whenever I can catch them, even if I only understand about 10% of what he's saying 😅 He's just so damn entertaining. Also he has a pup named Daimi and he brings her everywhere with him. He has a lot of fun interactions with his fans on his livestreams and often spills secrets about his upcoming projects while talking. There's an account on tumblr that transcribes/translates all his streams (which is wild because they can be like 5hrs long sometimes) which is always good for a laugh. He was on Our Song season 3 (and season 1 with Xiao Zhan, but they never sang together unfortunately) and has a lot of awesome duets with Penny Tai

If you're interested, this is the song that DLS wrote about leaving Day Day Up. He and Yibo performed it together at new years eve (the man with glasses they show tearing up while watching them at the end is Wang Han aka Han-ge, who was their third "brother" on the the show) DLS and Yibo both left at the same time due to their contracts, and it was a big adjustment for all three of them since they were used to seeing each other once a week for the past 5 years.
