They had several mister fans and free water stations all over the course. Yes it was hot and humid but it's Houston in June, what else do you expect. Saturday was a great time and I look forward to Dallas in Sept. I'd bet there was probably 25 to 50 thousand people there on Sat. Also I don't see how you 2 guys can talk bad about LIV if you didn't even go to the event!
@ParfortheCourse4 ай бұрын
To be honest there wasn't much criticism, just the expression that there isn't much excitement or drive to go view the events in-person. I'm sure that in person it's fine, but as a product that most people will watch on TV it is poor. Respectfully there were not 25 or 50,000 people out there, I've reviewed all 3 days and unless Liv is hiding people. The feeling of being in a grandstand may feel like it's more densely packed than it is but there is no way that that many people attended in a single day. We speak to the poor planning of having an event in Texas in June, even criticize the PGA tour because the Charles Schwab a few weeks ago was borderline too hot to have an event down here.

@@ParfortheCourse i went on sunday and just the range was stupid packed watching the players. also the guys parachuting in on the 1st tee was pretty badass. having been to many pga events, my wife and i definitely perfer LIV to the pga. it felt like an actual sporting event versus the typical stuck up country club vibe you get at pga tournaments.

Way too hot to have this in Houston during the summer. Long lines at the concessions, understaffed , lack of shade, no recycling etc…They would have been well served to hand out free sunscreen and refillable water bottles with your ticket. They need to take a look at ACL in Austin, that’s how you run a festival.

I don't like or hate LIV golf. I like what I like and LIV is boring. I could care less about team golf in LIV. Rod hit the nail on the head... Rahm isn't the same player he was, no fire. Same with DJ. You can love or hate LIV but there's no denying that it ripped apart professional golf and made great players complacent (by tossing them hundred million dollar contracts). I love the game of golf but I only watch KZbin golf, the majors and a few PGA signature events. I tried LIV and it's not compelling to watch unfortunately, although I hope they improve.

If you get paid 200 million dollars before you even tea up little wall what incentive is there to play in rough conditions

The course is not a very spectator friendly course, very spread out and long walks in between holes especially between 1 and 2 and 17 an 18. Plus it's too darn hot that time of the year. Same thing goes for Dallas in September, it's just to darn hot to enjoy the day. I attended the PGA Houston Childrens Open earlier in the year and it was great, easy course to get around and the weather was awesome. Bring the LIV tournament earlier or later in the year and it will most likely be better attended.

@@ParfortheCourse no one at all said that. You are clearly displaying hate towards another tour. The Houston event was awesome and in year two of playing they are doing great. I hope that LIV and the PGA push each other to both improve in time. PGA is on year 108 and LIV is on year 3 but 2 years of playing. It will take LIV time like it did the PGA to be as big.

We’ve been analyzing this league since the inception, as a traditional business it is a failure. All the other objectives that LIV may have are not for me to evaluate. Watch the vid listen to the words, it’s evaluation, not hate.

I saw the event. Golfers wear shorts. They play loud music on the tee box. There are small crowds around the greens. Especially following Koeoka or Deschambeau. It has the feel of a triple A or Div II college event. Almost a senior golf event with guys like Lee Westeood and Phil and Graham McDowell. Time to merge back with the Pros.
