Commercial? Or review? I would suggest a hub motor over an external addon.

Thanks for your input! This video is a review. Hub motors are indeed a solid choice for many, but the PikaBoost 2 offers a different approach for those seeking an external add-on. Appreciate your suggestion!

No throttle? Seems like an obvious feature miss. Would also be nice to use and select mode without use of app. I don't want to be messing with a phone while riding.

Is it possible to have two on one bike, say 1 on the rear tire (like shown) and 1 on the front tire? It might perform a lot better, and work more efficiently on heavier bikes, and riders.
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Interesting idea! While the PikaBoost 2 is designed for single-wheel use, adding one to the front could offer more power for heavier bikes and riders. Definitely something worth exploring!

Great question! The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 is designed to be compatible with a wide range of bikes, including folding bikes like your Brompton. Since it attaches to the rear wheel hub and is adjustable, it should work well with your setup. Just make sure to double-check the wheel size and frame clearance. If you decide to go for it, I’d love to hear how it works out on your Brompton! Feel free to share your experience.

I am a mtb fan and rider but I really cannot ride as much as my friends do because I am pretty much a heavy set person and lack the strength and endurance to even pedal a mild incline. I am not sure if this will have enough power to help me. I can help with a review if you provide me with one (besides not being able to afford one actually).
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience. The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 e-bike conversion kit is designed with riders like you in mind. It offers an extra boost on inclines and helps with endurance, making it easier to enjoy your rides without overexerting yourself. Plus, it’s versatile and easy to install on most bikes. I appreciate your interest in helping with a review-I'll keep that in mind for future opportunities! Your feedback would be incredibly valuable to others in a similar situation.

De mult timp mă gândeam cum să îmi instalez o frână regenerativa la e MTB pentru coborâri lungi. Oare acest sistem este eficient la frânare regenerativa?. Vreau un test de frânare regenerativa pe o pantă de 10 %de exemplu
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын

What forces it to apply pressure to the tire? Workout mode should be a quick release to remove the thing 😂
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Great point! The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 applies pressure to the tire through its integrated system that adjusts to your bike’s specifications, ensuring a secure fit. The workout mode feature is designed for easy adjustment, but if you’re looking for a quick release option for convenience, it’s definitely worth considering for future versions. Will it wear out the tire faster?
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Great question! The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 is designed to be gentle on your tires, with its power-assist feature calibrated to provide smooth, consistent support without causing excessive wear. Of course, like any e-bike conversion kit, regular maintenance and proper tire inflation will help keep your tires in good shape. Thanks for watching, and ride on!

What if there's mud or water ?
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Great question! The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 is designed to handle a range of conditions. It features an IPX4 rating, which means it's splash-resistant from any direction, so it should hold up well against mud and water in everyday riding conditions. For more extreme conditions, like heavy rain or deep puddles, it might be a good idea to take extra precautions, but overall, it’s built to be quite durable and reliable.

Back to the old days of the start of bicycling with the French Solex 1946-1988 nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solex_(bromfiets). So what is new to this concept?
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Great observation! The PikaBoost 2 definitely draws inspiration from classic designs like the Solex. What’s new here is the focus on portability, ease of use, and modern tech integration for a smoother ride. Thanks for sharing that link!

@@The_TechTrends thank you for the reply. As you refer to and mentioned as well to be honest, I do see nothing new in the concept shown in the video and you comment. Not even the use of electricity because like the Tesla car all has been around long time ago. What I do see is the development of plastics and the development of electronics that made it possible to reduce the circuits size makes all smaller. Still it is a nice design you have made..

Extremely inefficient solution! Just buy proper mid-drive motor with torque sensor like Toseven DM02 or TSDZ8. Sorry guys but better solution has been on the market for long time!

Could you explain how it is extremely inefficient?
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
I hear you! Mid-drive motors with torque sensors are definitely great options. The PikaBoost 2 is more about convenience and portability for those who prefer a simpler add-on. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@ataksnajpera3 ай бұрын
@@sami-nn9fg 1) roller will be slipping (water , dirt) 2) no torque sensor so motor won't be sychronized with your pedaling power. (ghost pedaling effect) 3) roller is powering whole tyre instead of casette. With chain and casette you can adjust torque when going for example uphill. Keep in mind that electric motors are the most effective at very high RPM!

would it fit a bmx .
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question! The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 is designed to be compatible with a variety of bikes, but BMX frames are generally smaller and more compact. While it might fit depending on your frame and wheel size, BMX bikes aren’t the typical use case for this kit, which is optimized for commuter or touring bikes. I’d recommend checking the wheel size and frame clearance to be sure. Let me know if you need more details, and I’d be happy to help!

What bothers me is how people could think you can reduce the carbon footprint of a bicycle by adding something. A bicycle by itself is the best you can get. By adding junk of any sort you ruin everything a bicycle stands for.
@The_TechTrends3 ай бұрын
I see your point. The essence of cycling is indeed its simplicity and efficiency. The LIVALL PikaBoost 2 is designed to enhance safety and convenience without significantly impacting the bike’s core benefits. It’s intended to complement the bike rather than detract from its environmental advantages. Your perspective on maintaining the purity of cycling is important, and it’s a valuable consideration when evaluating new products. Thanks for sharing your views!
@PassiveTerrorField3 ай бұрын
It's not the carbon footprint of the bicycle itself. It's that you exhale less carbon dioxide because it makes it easier when you use an e-bike. The carbon footprint for manufacturing one (and recharging it) is another story. It's a market trick but it's not a lie.
@gwailo273 ай бұрын
Perhaps for some it isn't about that. For some (Less abled) it opens up a world of opportunities. I'd say something like this embodies everything a bicycle stands for.

NO! NO! NOOOO!!!!!! This design is horrible! Yes it might seem convenient/nice on paper but in real world applications, this is a horrible choice! Razor made a similar device back in the early 2000's for bikes and scooters but it was poop! Maybe if you bought it for a kid that weighs less than 140 lbs (with the bike), then you would be good but otherwise its not strong enough!! I just cant see it being worth anything to an average 165lb/ 5'11" adult rider. Maybe if I got my hands on one of these I would have a better view of it. As of now, in my eyes it's a waste of money for any adult! Willing to review product if manufacture reaches out. Contact email linked to my page and/videos.
