I had gastric bypass back in 2009 and went from 345lbs to 145lbs and could actually run afterwards , I am around 210lbs now and my mobility isn’t as good as it was back then but if I didn’t have it I probably wouldn’t be able to walk at all

That 'slug' is just traction motors, no prime mover (engine)....basically just along for extra umph.....and brakes. The 'prime movers (locomotives) provide power for the extra traction motors via cabling.....It would be like having a drive shaft going to a trailer that you are towing.....
