Trailblazer and Encore have an optional power hatch lift in this class. Mazda CX-30 also has an available power liftgate in this class. Still, the Seltos is a decent value for the money. The lane follow assist is not all that great. It sometimes bounces around between the lines. It works best at lower speeds and wider lanes.

You're correct about those updated GM offerings and the CX-30. I didn't think of them during the live video. The lane KEEPING assist may allow the vehicle to "bounce between the lines" but the lane follow assist works great to hold the vehicle centred in the lane.

I actually like the lane keeping assist on this vehicle. Way better than my Honda CRV EX 2018. Almost Tesla like Autonomous Driving 😄

@Simple Shopping Showoff Perfection doesn't exist in the automotive world. What I always suggest is to decide on the things that you MUST have, and then add a list of things that you'd like to have, and then weigh it all out. Keep in mind that part of owning a car is having a GREAT dealer experience so don't forget to ask the question, "If I have questions about anything to do with this car, are these the types of people whom I trust to help me, no matter what?" That can go a long way towards being satisfied with a vehicle.

@Simple Shopping Showoff And they are ringing out 4 cylinder power out of a 3 cylinder engine. GM has had quite a few problems with their small engines. I wouldn't trust on long term with 4 cylinders. 3 cylinders; forget about it! Love the styling on the GM twins but I wouldn't want to bet on long term durability. Kia had some issues with low speed pre-ignition and engine fires but I'd still take my chances with them over GM.

@@BrantfordKia The lane keep works well for fresh painted lane markers. Yellow lines don't work as well as white. Older paint lines don't work as newer ones. Slower works better than faster. Less traffic works better than more. Worn painted lanes work ok at night if reflectors are still there. It isn't Tesla autopilot or Cadillac super cruise but you didn't pay those prices either.

They can. Each country decides which trims get which features, but the features are almost always the same, it's just a matter of which features are grouped together to form a specific trim line that may change.

I haven't seen this vehicle in person yet, very hard to find one where I live (Missouri), but I've watched a lot of review videos, and this is the first one I've seen with HUD. I don't think it's available in the states.

Can you open the tailgate from inside the car on a 21 seltos sx

No, All trim levels of the seltos have a manual tailgate. with the release being on the exterior by the backup camera.

Thanks for your kind words. So on any of our SUV's you have to open them from the outside unless they have a power-operated tailgate. In that case, you can usually open them from the inside, but definitely through the fob, or smart tailgate system which is hands-free. All that to say that on the Seltos, there is no power operation of the tailgate.

I've test driven the excellent Seltos SX Turbo the other day; all positive impressions about the car. However, I was wondering about the sound quality of the Bose sound system feeling less premium compared to the Bose sound system in my 2017 Chevrolet Cruze when driving both cars back to back. I've got the same feeling with the Forte GT Harman Kardon, also sounding more premium than the Bose in the Seltos SX. I keep wondering if there have been different quality Bose systems on the market and the one in Seltos SX being "less premium"? Thanks for your thoughts.

I've found that playing with the settings can really bring the system to life. I haven't been in a Cruze with Bose that I can remember so I can't comment on that car, but I've found that the Seltos system compared to other Bose Systems in other cars is on par or better, but you may need to play with the sound settings to get it to your liking.

Do you mean a full-time AWD system? The system does move power around, but it always has at the very least, 5% of the power going to the rear wheels.

Is AEB present on the Kia Seltos 2021? I just got my Seltos and I don't seem to notice it. My kona that I traded it for had it. And it was very aggressive. I tried to test it on the Seltos i get nothing. Am I missing something? Please let me know if it does have it. And tell me how to turn it on. Thanks

Ok... a couple things. Yes, certain Seltos models do have Autonomous Emergency Braking. Second thing, I always recommend to test this feature in the same way you would test your airbags... DON'T! This feature is exactly that, an EMERGENCY back up plan to braking yourself. If the vehicle senses that you're in control, it will not use that system. In other words, there may be instances where you choose to hit one thing in order to move your vehicle out of the way. Example, you may choose to rear end the car in front of you, in order to avoid an oncoming train crossing your path. The system is designed to allow you to have control unless it senses that you're not in control. Simply put, it's not a system that you should test, and the fact that it doesn't react, may in fact be a sign that all of the features ARE working. You can change the settings about forward collision warning, where the car warns you earlier, but the Autonomous Emergency Braking is not a system that is designed to be tested in everyday use.

The 2021 Seltos SX does have a heads up display.... In Canada... not in the U.S. It does retract into the dash, and have a different button, but if you were in an American vehicle, that vehicle likely doesn't have it.

It's not... that feature buried in the menus sort of surprised me. The very first pre-production Seltos that we saw in Canada had that feature, but production models did not. As of now, no Seltos have parking sensors front or rear.

Yes, they're moving away from the power-folding mirrors many of our vehicles. Even the models that have them, the top trims are usually the only ones to get them.

I've a S turbo not the sx turbo it has less things than the sx turbo 🤔 and I haven't seen a s turbo video yet 🤔 always the sx turbo ❓so have u heard of a s turbo not sx turbo my turbo has a key no push button 🤔 ❓

In Canada (where we film) the only way to get the Turbo model this year is in the SX trim, so we won't have a video on a different model with a turbo unless they release a vehicle like that here.
