Right! I don't see many reviews with several trim levels side by side. Other thing I would like to see the MSRP on the screen for each vehicle throughout the video to help determine what to go with at the end of the video especially if your trying to save

@@adriancastle90x25 When we use the KZbin app for these live videos, we don't have the ability to put titles on the screen, but we do have the ability to interact with a live audience and answer their questions in real-time. Pricing information is usually fairly easy to find online at our dealer website, or the manufacturer website, so while I agree with you, we do the best with what we have available to us. Also, with Covid stuff going on, I have to work alone, and that can mean that I juggle a number of things while I'm live. I appreciate your suggestions though, and thank you for watching!

For all those interested I have 20inch Hyundai Santa Fe alloys on my Sorrento Hybrid and HIGHLY recommended having running boards fitted... TOTALLY CHANGES the line of the car from a Horizontal look

I bought one, I'm gonna pick it up on Wednesday, and unfortunately I couldn't get the X-line or higher trim because Kia decided to remove the 2nd row middle seat... DAMN kia!! So I got the LX premium, ... anyway... Love the design and among all options I compared to, I think this one fits a lot on what I want. Nice review.

I can tell you that the companies that rate reliability and dependability around the world are consistently rating Kia vehicles very highly. The most recent J.D. Power Dependability study rates Kia as the top mainstream brand in the study, ahead of brands like Toyota and other brands that used to be top of the pack.

When you talked about the wireless Android auto perhaps getting an update in the future. Would that be for future years 2022 and beyond? Or would it apply to the 2021? Do you typically bring it into the dealer for the software update?

So, just so I'm clear, I'm not sure how I said it in the video, but I want to be careful about what I promise. On the K5 (not the Sorento) we were told that ALL K5's will have wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but only the 8" screen will have that at launch. So in the case of that car, all vehicles will get it, I'm just not sure when. When it comes to the Sorento, I don't have any official information on this, but it would be logical for me to assume that the Sorento will do the exact same thing. I'm trying to find out the full story.

@@talon2rell In Canada some people use UVO and UVO Intelligence interchangeably so I just want to be clear that the UVO Intelligence updates through a cell phone app, but the car's software can be updated separately. So really, the user can update the MAPPING system on their own, and on some models that can update the main screen's software, but depending on which system you're talking about, it doesn't always work to update once a year.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I know that the captain's chairs have been in high demand on the Telluride, but we'll see what people think about this decision in the Sorento.

Good point! The EX has been hard to come by, and those that came in were sold and delivered quickly. If we don't have one in stock right at the moment, I expect to have one soon. I'll try to do that comparison, but at the very least, I'll get the EX up on the channel. The Sorento in general has been selling very well, and it's been tough to get certain trims in the video bay at the same time. Thanks for the request though! I'll get to it as soon as I can.

I don't believe that we're getting the wood trim in Canada, but we have several burgundy leather Sorento's on order. Once we get one, we'll do a video.

No to both of those questions. The Telluride may be an option if you want those features, but the Sorento is captain's chairs only on any vehicle with the 2.5 litres turbo engine.

wish they woud do a top trip with the bench seat, when you have 3 small kids, you lose a captain chair anyways because you can't get to the 3rd row with a carseat installed on both captains.

Anything without the Turbo engine. We have several on our lot right now. The Turbo engine is tough to get right now. It can easily be done, but there is often a wait.

How true is it that Kia might be making a Telluride pickup truck? I’ve heard some rumbling in the Automotive world

I've heard nothing about that. Hyundai is about to introduce a sport truck pickup truck that excites me, but it's NOT a traditional pickup truck. It will be introduced on April 15th. An Australian Kia executive has gone on the record to say that Kia will be making a pickup truck for their market, but I haven't heard anything at all about what that may or may not be.

@@BrantfordKia The Kia Sorento car manual available online makes reference only to “Air-conditioning” in the 3rd row which gives me a strong feeling that the 3rd row air vents only support cooling and not heating. A bit of a bummer.

Yeah, it's definitely a "rear air conditioner" I'm just not sure if it will also move residual hot air through the system.

One thing that bugs me on SX for digital instrument cluster they flipped the speedometer and tachometer, can you flip them to show the speedometer on the right?

Yeah, you know what... I hadn't realized that. I drive a lot of different cars here, so maybe it didn't stick out for me the same way it would for someone who drives the same car every day. I don't think there's a way to swap them. Interesting point!

The seats are strong points in these vehicles. Large, and comfortable. Every person is different, so be sure to try them out for yourself, but I would roadtrip 12 hour days in this vehicle no problems!

I'd like to see how all that piano black holds up to road rash on the SX, and why the plastic spatula on the door. I'm critical because it's the second biggest spend for most people. I hate non functional junk on cars just to satisfy the stylist's ego.

I think it will hold up fine. Painted surfaces are often the most fragile on the outside of the car. To be fair, the styling like this is probably the way of the future for the time being. So "non functional" is going to be common.

There's a review by a guy called " Savagegeese" who shows how badly the piano black plastic is scratched up really badly at the door sills of the 2021 Sorrento SX. He has quite thorough reviews of vehicles. He even brings them into a shop and shows you the good and bad components underneath the vehicle too. That could be very important to some people.

How do you turn the vehicle on without starting it?

On a push button car, you keep your foot OFF the brake, and press the start button ONCE for Accessory mode, and TWICE for ON. Obviously, if you press the brake pedal while pressing the start button, the car skips the Accessory and On mode and just turns over to start.

I've asked Kia Canada to give me an update on this. On the K5 we were assured that ALL K5's would receive wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but only the 8" screen will come from the factory with this function, while the 10.25" screen will receive a future software update to enable it. I haven't heard the same thing with the Sorento, but it would VERY MUCH surprise me if this wasn't the same situation. I'm trying to get confirmation, but I haven't heard back yet.

Yeah, that's an interesting decision that I'm curious to see how it plays out in real life. For my family of 4, it has no effect, but a family of 5 doesn't have the option of putting the third child in the middle row to have maximum use of the trunk for something like a roadtrip or vacation. That's the specific scenario that I see it being a compromise that not everyone will want.

Good review. The 8 inch screen is ok. I like the larger screen better. Good interior space and exterior proportions. This model really feels like a good value proposition. European cars are so overpriced. I like this or the CX9.

Yeah, the blue is great for video, but not everyone wants a bright colour. Most people buy some version of white, black or grey when they buy a car today, so we'll stock all kinds of colours based on market trends.
