Bigots have been minimizing the existence of queer people for decades. Each year, the percentage of LGBT people increases as they feel safer being open. Most statistics only measure out LGBT people who respond to surveys, polls and censuses. They can't take into account closeted queer people, queer people who don't feel comfortable identifying in surveys and LGBT kids.

Human rights. So many people are hated for their sexuality, people want them dead, hate crime them, etc. This is showing their pride for who they are, as anyone would be for something they are passionate about. However I think a lot of parades like this are kind of a “We hear you, and we are still fighting” to the laws that are anti-LGBTQ. I don’t think it’s fair to say you are non bias and then call it weird. The world is always going to have prejudice against the community, so there will always be pride parades.
