I remember stumbling across this by accident one evening. Was drawn in straight away and pretty much know every episode off by heart! The US version just doesn't do it for me i'm afraid. Loved Extra's too and just look how far many of the actors have come since the Office. Extra's is definitely worth a watch, I can't believe he convinced the celebs to say the lines they did. Ricky deserves an OBE - his integrity is second to none and I love the way he bashed the celebs at the awards, he was right and just look at how well it has aged and will age again - I can go on . . .too late I already have!!!!

To me the best thing about this series is that in the process of portraying David Brent trying and failing miserably to adapt to the new politically correct world, it became one of the very last politically incorrect comedies. The rapid change regarding what is 'allowed' is something everyone over a certain age can relate to. And as the western world becomes more and more insanely censored, the appreciation for his character grows. It really is timeless.
