Abhishek and Riyan must catch up with NCA and improve their bowling. They must learn to vary the pace and also few tricks. Who is better than Ashwin to guide them. Only multi tasked players can guarantee their places in T20 team and can also grab place in ODI team.

I think Jaiswal and Sharma opening and Gaikwad at number 3 who is much faster than Gill in T20s would be a solid top order for T20is. I don't consider strike rates above 160 as accumulators and he has a more elegant batting style than Gill and even SKY.

Ruturaj is more deserving for the number 3 spot in T20s and ODIs too cuz he plays sensibly and unlike Gill, he can ramp up his strike rate if and when needed and plays well according to the situation. I do think it was unfair to drop Gaikwad today after his 2 50 plus scores at good strike rates. He deserves to be in the playing 11 for the Sri lanka series and put Gill on the bench.

You guys are saying Gill is an accumulator like VK ??!! And you praised Sanju for scoring 56 at 128 SR, against ZIM in a no pressure match. But VK also scored 76 at 128 SR after 34/3 against tougher Opponent in a WC final. Also VK got out in all games trying to be ultra aggressive & playing poor shots. When did he accumulate? Why are u guys so biased ! Go check records or watch videos of what Virat used to do when he was 24
