Sorry about the somewhat shaky camera on this video, and for the screaming drunk girls (can't seem to avoid them). If anyone else has video footage of this song, I would be glad to edit multiple camera angles together and re-upload this clip, just let me know! Or if someone has better quality audio, I can synch it up with my video. In the meantime, hope you enjoy this!

I am a 70 YO Caucasian man and I have seen some of the great Blues guitarists in my life...including Johnny Winter, Alvin Lee, B.B., Albert, and Freddy KIng, Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, etc. To this day...the "Blues" is deeply embedded in my blood and in the marrow of every bone in my body. I will be seeing Buddy Guy with Ally Venable on the same bill in August. I haven't seen either one but, I know it's going to be great! The "Blues" will never die.

I never heard Ally till tonight doing the duet with Buddy Guy, then this showed up on the sidebar. I had the Blessing of seeing at one show : BB King/The Neville Brothers/John Mayall's Bluesbreakers/Kenny Wayne Shepherd touring Ledbetter Heights/and 'Kid' Jonny Lang who I think was 15. KWS sat in with BB, jamming for at least half an hour and then he just sat cross-legged on the stage for the rest of the show digging BB in Awe. KWS has picked up the torch from SRV and plays with that incredible fire and strength. The ladies are getting there too, and Noah and the incomparable Shemekiah and whole band just fabulous. Thanks so much for posting. It brings hope to the world that is much needed to see great music is still here...

Just passed the 32 year anniversary of his passing 😔 on the 27th, I don’t think this heavy feeling is ever gonna lift off me. Why’d he have to go? I know, I know, it’s all Gods plan. All I gotta say is we better be able to see him play again when we leave this earth! Can you imagine what a concert that would be?!! Stevie and all the greats that inspired him! Yes please!!🙋🏻♀️😁💝🎵💃🏻🎶

I’m surprised Kenny Wayne Shepherd didn’t bust the strings on his guitar, he was so Into the music. Then there was Samantha Fish, Ally Venable, and Shemekia Copeland. They and the rest of the band did justice to “You Done Lost Your Good Thing”, and B.B. King was smiling down from heaven.

The audio quality of my Lumix camera that I used to record this is even worse. The audio used here came from my cell phone, which was the better sounding of the two sources. And outdoor shows are notorious for audio fluctuations depending on which way the wind is blowing... If I can find a better quality audio recording I will gladly re-upload this video.

@@BackwoodsFilms I'll never understand why people pay good money for tickets to live shows, and then proceed to jack their jaws through the whole thing! I wish the sound guys had a slider to shut off audience audio for everyone in the crowd! 😁
@BackwoodsFilms2 жыл бұрын
@@XYooper906 Yeah, it sucks, but I've come to accept that there will always be people like that at every show, it's unavoidable. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with alcohol consumption, and if they heard themselves later on the recording they would be totally embarrassed at their behavior (or maybe not).

Love this!!! Some of my favourite musicians right now, on one stage! Just brilliant! Love it when you get some great artists play together we got a great new wave right now and coming through gives me hope for the future of Blues and Rock music! We are lucky to still have some of the greatest of all time still will us (even though we've lost a lot in recent years from the Old guard) bit still a few greats, to pass the torch and playing at a top level themselves just about still idolised in their older years! .. Music lost its way alot for a while but there were a few that bridged the gap that have come to the fore more recently even the rock guitarists from the 80s& 90s who learned/grew up on the blues and have now been able to start showing that side of their artistry and VIRTUOSITY is great! Blues is still alive well and now in the mainstream again which is great! Cheers from London England 👍🎸😎🏴🇬🇧

when you get a bunch of w*ite blues players you get 3 chords and 5 notes and repeat! sorry to be a grouch, but I grew up on Muddy Waters, ALbert King, BB...this idea of playing 3 chords and running the fingers through the pentatonic scales for minutes on end gets tiring to listen to!

The other comments on this performance would indicate that most viewers disagree with you, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion. We all hear music differently. And I think these musicians at least deserve credit for paying homage and respect to one of the greats.
