My job either has no stress or it's through the roof. I deal with it the best I can. 4 Years and 2 months to retirement! I have a 22-minute drive to work every day, nothing like yours but I can still get stuck in interstate traffic jams. I've hit a deer too. No fun.

Having a routine seems to calm me down and I make lists, possibly to help me think thru an issue or so I can feel a little more in control of the situation, but it seems to help me see things through and to come up with ideas or solutions. Retired from a job where we had at least one if not two apprentices on the crew and I was also always training the person that could step up and run the crew when I was away for any reason...and they are all doing fine after I retired, just as your guys will when you pass the torch. At one of the most memorable retirement parties that I attend the retiree, when asked to say a few words, gave out presents to 9-10 guys that he worked with a lot and told stories on each of them before they could get a good story in on him at the party. Made for a lot of good laughs at a kind of sad time.
