I had a baby doll when I was younger that went everywhere with me according to my Mom I chewed off two of her fingers cause I wanted her to match my Dad (who lost a finger in WW2) when I was in my 20s I sold all my toys at a garage sale. In my later years, my 40s I wished I had it sold any of them I happened to be in a thrift store and saw a doll I thought looked like my favorite Patsy doll. I picked her up and about fainted SHE WAS MISSING THE TWO FINGERS I HAD CHEWED OFF! I HAD FOUND MY DOLL she was 3.00 I almost cried and told the clerk why was in tears...she said they almost threw her away but one volunteer said something is telling me not to and she had come in that morning! I have her sitting in a chair in my bedroom wearing my christening gown my mom gave me. 😊😊

My most favorite thrifted find was at a Goodwill near St Paul, MN, a set of 3 Pyrex refrigerator covered dishes in the pink gooseberry pattern. No chips or cracks, near mint condition. Somebody didn’t know what value they held, and now they are happily mine! Thanks for sharing a great haul!

Hi Joanne, awesome finds !!! I’m very excited for Rhonda starting a new booth. My neatest find recently is a vintage set of the Christmas “ NOEL” porcelain letters made in Japan in the 1950’s. They are white, each have a little angel in a red dress and wings. I thrifted the set for $1.50, I was at the right place at just the right time! Snuggles to the crew ❣️😊

Very cool. And free, can't get any thriftier than that. As a kid, we used to find them all the time when we played in an area near my home that we called 'the piles'. It's also where we smoked cigarettes, but don't tell anyone LOL. Hugs.

Hi Joanne! ! Loved all your finds today🤗 The “bonus” folding chair reminded me of my favorite pick up this week. While my husband and I were visiting our local Salvation Army, we spotted 2 wooden folding chairs with green vinyl seats and backs. They are Leg-o-Matic brand, and fold not once but twice, making them quite compact. I’ve since been told they were once used in or sold with Airstream trailers ….of course we have no use for them whatsoever 🤭 but decided they’d look great on a shelf or wall at the cabin😊 Good vintage decor for just.$4.99 each! Have a good week💜🌷

Hi Joanne ! You have a great eye for treasures. I love that folding chair as well as the apothecary jars and the bag of sewing notions! Due to mobility issues with my back and legs I haven’t been able to thrift for quite some time. Hopefully the exercises I’ve been given will help me continue to progress so I can get back out there. 🙏🏻 My favorite find is a small micro mosaic picture frame I found at an auction. It is so delicate and beautifully decorated, it’s one of my very favorite possessions. Thanks again for another great video! Last year at a yard sale I found a large shoebox of vintage Christmas for 1.00! In it was my favorite, a knee hugger elf valued at 14.00! I was with my 10 yo granddaughter and she still mentions my excitement when I discovered him. She’s my thrifting buddy 🥰

My last thrift store item was a vintage blinky skull head glow lite for 99 cents this week. But my very Best Buy this summer was at a garage sale. An antique German Turkey candy container from the turn of of century for $1.00. They are VERY hard to find and very collectible. I used him in a fall arrangement for my dining room. I’m not a seller just a collector.

My favorite find recently was a Desert Rose pattern sugar bowl. Perfect condition at Goodwill for five dollars!! So excited I purchased the matching creamer on EBay. My dear Aunt had these dishes. Each time it was her turn, we ate holiday dinners on them. Fun haul!!❤

Favorite thrifts = I got from an estate sale a 6 shelf glass corner curio cabinet for $47 and from an auction a needlepoint picture of five cats looking through a mail slot for $80. My husband got from the thrift store a Leroy Neiman framed poster for $6.50 Used to frequent auctions regularly,(sometimes very exciting) but switched to estate sales, garage sales and thrift stores. Great find on the thread.

The best thrifted item I found was a large vintage ceramic Christmas tree at the Goodwill bins! It was in a taped up box stuffed with old newspapers and in perfect condition! It’s so pretty, I can’t bring myself to box it up for 11 months out of the year so I now display it year round.🎄

Hi Joanne. Your top is so pretty. I know this is not what you ask but my be on the lookout item is a campfire marshmallow tin. Some of them are so pricey. It is hard for me to go thrifting anymore because my legs are not very good. It is hard for me to be on them for very long. I have lymphedema in both legs. Right now i am having therapy on them. Hopefully it will help. But i guess the last thing i bought was some Halloween and Fall decor. I collect vintage.girl figurines and my daughter found me a really cute one. It says Japan on the bottom but no other label at a yard sale. Congratulations to Rhonda for opening a booth. Hope she does well. Maxine doll is so cool. So funny. Thanks for sharing another video. Hi Joanne, At a yard sale, found three pieces of Lennox china and a brass candlestick and paid $7 each. Everything looks brand-new! The seller said her father was a shopaholic and did not use anything, but was always buying. I had two fairy lights and what I think could hold a candle or be a small vase. I gave my sister one of the fairy lights. Here is a picture of my Lennox.

Hi, Joanne! I love the apothecary glass containers you found. I have a few myself. When my grandchildren were little I use to put different candies in them so when they came over they could pick from them. They loved them! Some of those containers had either peanuts or pistachios in them at Christmas before they landed at Goodwiill or at garage sales. Every time I find one, if I like the style I will buy them. My best thrift item l purchased was from a Salvation Army in Bloomington MN. It wasn't marked so they gave it to me for 5.00. It's in wonderful condition. It is an upholstered chair that the backing is the shape of a heart it also has a ruffle on the bottom of the chair to hide the legs. The fabric is cream colored with tiny blue flowers. Whoever owned it before me took extremely good care of it, absolutely no stains on the fabric! I brought it home in my car trunk m, couldn't shut the lid so l drove home ever so cautiously. It looks like it was used as a vanity chair. It was one of my best finds in a thrift store. PS my cat loves sleeping in it and sometimes l find him under the ruffle snoozing because he's hidden and the wood floor stays cool under it l love this chair and will never sell it! It's in the corner of my bedroom like a little reading nook. This comment was too long but it was funny telling about my special chair🪑!

I do like the glass storage jars a lot, but I don’t think that I’d put anything food related in them because they don’t have the rubbery gaskets that would keep dampness - and critters - out. I absolutely love the little vanity bench with the turned rail across the back. It will be gorgeous once it’s cleaned up and has a new seat. Between injuring my knee some months ago and still trying to get over the effects of a recent bout of Covid, I haven’t gone thrifting in ages. I think my alltime favorite thrifted item is a White House Christmas ornament that I found in the jewelry case at a Salvation Army store 5 or 6 years ago. I collect them, and even though the thrifted ornament didn’t have its box, it was one I didn’t have, and it was only a dollar or two. New ornaments are $36, and older ones can sell on the secondary market for up to $100 - not that I’d ever sell them - so my find was a treasure and a bargain.

I do think you would be able to keep some type of dry goods in the canisters even though there are no rubber gaskets. Especially the ones with the etched glass on the tops and interior on the bottoms. Hugs.

Probably my favorite thrifted items was a 4 piece set of Pyrex princess (?) bowls in the pink & white goose berry, in like new condition. I can't remember if they were $10 or $20. I mistakenly grabbed one to make macaroni & cheese at one point. Now they only get used as serving bowl if we're being really fancy. When my husband realized how much they were worth, he wanted me to sell them. I said a firm NO! The weathered green folding chair reminded me of camp meeting chairs from my childhood.

I wish I could attach a picture. While visiting family in Iowa, I found a gorgeous pair of ceramic rabbits. They are standing upright (12") with baskets on their backs. I'm sure they're hobbies pieces. The artist did a fabulous job. Unfortunately they're not marked or I'd give credit where credit is due. They begged me to bring them home to Savannah Tennessee.

I paid $4 for a Tom and Jerry Eggnog bowl and cup set on whatnot. I did have shipping charges on top of that but still a good price for something I’ve been wanting. At the time I didn’t realize it was the Tom and Jerry one so when it came I felt like I had stolen it. No one had bid against me. The next time I was in the sellers show I tipped her to try to make up for it.

What I need you to know is that it's so much fun to watch you to discover that you made a good buy and that's it's made to make money. I love it when someone accidentally finds that and their "HUNCH" was that was the right one! you have NUMEROUS times which you show your collecting is a good instinct not many have that! I understand what you are saying, no need to delete. I feel protective of the mall and the ladies that work there. I have had booths at other locations and not felt as welcome and included at either of the other locations as I do here. Perhaps they could use a little make-over, but their way has worked for so long, I doubt they would change. Hugs.
