Was scary to go without a sketch 😁... I was thinking the glasses were supposed to be higher on the nose.. And just then you mentioned it! 😂

He wouldn't have a sketch at an event.

Yeah, the likeness is better on the exaggerated drawing. I think the eyes are off on the original as well. Exaggerating is so important because it makes the drawing funny and also helps get a better likeness. Good job with your minds eye. You and I share similar logic as far as how we make decisions in rendering and deciding what is important and what isn't. I learned a couple things from you. I have always been drawing in the pupil even on a dark eyed subject. It makes more sense to render the pupil as white and darken the eye so there is more contrast. (When I would draw a black pupil and then a dark brown the eyes don't pop as much) I also learned about your hatching method. I also like that you don't worry about symmetry as much. I think that lends itself to a more cartoony and free flowing drawing, thank you!

That’s a good question. I don’t know if I’m going or not. I need to check the dates and see if I have any gigs on those days. Thank you!

James, Can you tell me what are the things you have to use in making caricatures and what tools you are currently using?

I love these videos! So interesting. Just an observation on this one. I don't know if it was intentional, but this guy was looking to the left. What do you mean that you don't have a sketch? You wouldn'f have a sketch at an event, right?

Did u photoshop the end picture because he doesn’t have the same size cheek he did when u drew him
@jamesthomas11232 ай бұрын
Yes, I adjusted the cheek using procreate. That’s very observant of you to notice. Thank you!
