@claudiarnebeker7734 ай бұрын
I understand we need defense attorneys, not all cases the accused is guilty, of course. But, to be a defense attorney, it seems that they have to be willing to use all types of defense practices, real/fantasy, truth/lies, deceitful statements, false accusations, to win a case. Not all of them, but the majority can be nasty to the victims, knowing their client’s guilt. I have a friend, who was an attorney and had her own law firm with her husband. She had been working as an attorney for almost ten years and her husband joined her later in her practice. She was so miserable working, trying so hard to get justice for the victims of crimes. To the end, the level of abuse her victims endured by the perpetrator’s attorneys, took a toll on her health, family life, mental well being, motherhood, spiritual life to the point of manifesting physically. They sold their business, moved to the US to start a new life. Her husband worked as a mechanic and she went back to school. She said it was the best decision they had ever made for their family, because moving to the US, it was the first time she had the opportunity to be a mother to her children and a wife to her husband. What she learned from those years being an attorney, traumatized her for life, she didn’t know the level of evil people were able to afflict upon others, without any type of guilt. And the type of strength the victims had to learn to be able to cope with the consequences of the trauma of the abuse, cruelty, crimes committed against them. 😢

As a Floridian who lives 30 minutes away from where poor Caylee was found, I watched the trial every day, and even I thought she might be found not guilty. Not because she wasn't guilty, but the prosecution failed to truly tie the case together. I was concerned about trial by media and watched it with an open mind to see what the evidence actually proved, and the jury made the right decision based on what they were given. Her defense team, although despised by the public, was able to create some reasonable doubt. I don't see this happening in the Daybell trial, thank God! I am surprised they never brought back up how prepared JJ’s grace was including the obvious care of the trimming of the tree roots and such that add Chud contributed there based off his Sexton experience. Hopefully a juror remembers. Now just waiting for a verdict. I guess since they are sequestered they will keep them in a Hotel. If it goes past Friday, probably the weekend off but I think there could be a verdict by Friday afternoon.

No "agreement"?...they substituted the word "plan" They cooked up a PLAN ~ (noun)1.a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something." 2."an intention or decision about what one is going to do." (verb) 1.decide on and arrange in advance." 2."design or make a plan of (something to be made or built)." It's not a plan among a group of people without agreement. There was an agreement. A semantic jig is being danced.

Prior's closing statement keeps pointing out the case FOR guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He has pointed out Chad's fingerprints were missing from the tools, his phone data was conspicuously unavailable during the critical moments, Lorrie killed for insurance....but never mind Chad had his wife increase her life insurance before she dies....terrible, terrible closing argument.

Why would killing Chad benefit Alex or Lori? That makes no sense Prior! He wouldn’t kill Chad before his wife was dead and Lori and Chad were married , there would be no financial gain otherwise. Prior did his best but his theories make no sense.
