Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful day . This should have been my 57th wedding anniversary but Greg passed away suddenly 6 months ago and now I am alone, alone with the memories of our years together. And I am grateful for this NEC coverage that focus my attention to the gift of this occasion instead of giving in to my grief. The homily of Cardinal Tagle is very inspiring for all of us. I am very proud of my heritage to see a Filipino with his wit and faith to ask us to be giving of ourselves to others. God bless all.

Prior to Chito Cardinal Tagle's installation as a bishop and eventually as a cardinal, he was then a parish priest Imus Cathedral in the Philippines where I was then a member of a certain choir; also one of the commentators and lectors. This NEC is truly an occasion to reawaken us. I have been listening to this Mass several times. I'm not getting tired of it all. The songs are so uplifting.
