Ransomware attacks have targeted and impacted hundreds of organizations around the world. These attacks have primarily focused on traditional IT business networks and have largely been driven by criminal actors seeking financial gain, however it is important for critical infrastructure organizations to understand the risk of targeted attacks spreading intentionally or unintentionally and having impacts on operational systems. In this talk we will look at OT specific ransomware based attacks across multiple levels in a process environment that could impact data of interest, systems, and the logic directly.
