Pastel painting is to me, one of very best way to express,( on artistic point of vue)in everything. Portrait, still life, landscape. When I can not paint in oil, Pastels, and watercolor, keeps me in activity, as artist. I love them all. In Summer I paint in oil at hot weather, in Winter in the cold, closed my windows, and in the warm environment of my Studio, I start to paint with Pastels, I learn a lot with the help of Tutorials from KZbin. As a selftaugh artist I feel realized and happy with my paintings ! Be happy in what we done is so important !

I have tried watercolor to nothing but frustrations. PanPastels allow me to create without frustration because I am able to control and rework the pastels so easily. I watch and use the techniques from wonderful artists like you who use PanPastels, but I also continue to watch watercolor artists and use ideas from their techniques when using PanPastels. Thank you so very much for sharing your expertise and art.

I am sold! It resolves two problems I have. I hate how uncontrollable watercolor is but I love the transparency and I hate how dusty stick pastels are but I love the blending ability. This is really like the best of both worlds. Combine these with a set of NuPastel sticks for detail work. Perfect! Loved the video. Ordering a set this weekend.

Is this just the normal Canson paper Les? I know you sometimes use the Mi-Teintes Touch. Fab painting

Great video... which side of the Canson Mi Tientes paper did you use? The vellum or the flat? Thanx...

Question: When I use Mi Tientes it works great. But when I tried it on Pastel Mat it did not go on as easily and I had to press hard to spread it with the Sofft Tools sponges. Have you used on Pastel Mat or should I just avoid it? Thx.
