Is the c channels necessary? Ppl keep using them to stabize warping over time But if the wood wants to warp its gonna warp, only things you can do to make sure it doenst happen is to dry and mill it properly And use thick wood

I’ve had this discussion so many times and I totally agree with you. On thinner material I will still consider it but for the most part I don’t use it.

@dustandwood I guess the main reason ppl use them is to give them the illusion it helps... but also since woodworking is self taught alot of people are watching KZbin woodworkers and thinking c channels are gospel when it comes to making tables... this is just my opinion

My client liked the sapwood down the middle look. That’s what’s great about custom, you get what you want, not what other people want.
